Southwest Church — Local services in Indian Wells

THIS IS MY 'GO TO PLACE' WHEN I'M FEELING OVERWHELMED OR NEED TO THINK. IM A PHOTOGRAPHER AND LOVE THIS PLACE TO TAKE PHOTOS. I'VE NEVER HAD THE CONFIDENCE TO GO INSIDE, SO I JUST WALK AROUND THE BUILDING WHILE LISTENING TO LAUREN DIEGLE OR MALI MUSIC HOPING SOMEONE WOULD COME TALK TO ME. BUT I GUESS LOOKING THE WAY I DO AND HAVING THE PAST THAT I HAVE I DONT BLAME THEM. WHO WOULD WANT MY ENERGY TO WEAR OFF ON ONE OF THEIR CHILDREN? I KNOW I WOULDN'T 😔 I'M CURRENTLY ON DISABILITY DUE TO A NON CANCEROUS BRAIN MASS LOCATED IN MY LEFT FRONTAL LOBE, THIS CAUSES ME TO SUFFER MULTIPLE SEIZURES A MONTH. SOMETIMES SMALL SOMETIMES BIG TO THE POINT WERE I WAKE UP WALKING OUTSIDE OVER 15 MILES AWAY FROM MY HOME. SO I HAVE A LIVE IN CARETAKER. THE COMBINATION OF YEARS HAVING EPILEPSY AND NO LICENSE DUE TO IT HAVE MADE IT TO WERE I'M DEPRESSED ALOT. BUT JUST STEPPING FOOT ON THE PROPERTY AND WALKING AROUND WHILE MY SPIRIT SPEAKS TO OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST IS MORE THEN ENOUGH TO GIVE ME THE STRENGTH AND COURAGE TO PUSH THREW ANOTHER DAY. THANKS FOR NOT KICKING ME OFF WHILE I LISTEN TO MUSIC AND WALK AROUND IN A CIRCLE OVER 3 DOZEN TIMES. IT MEANS MORE THEN YOU COULD IMAGINE TO HAVE A PLACE TO ESCAPE AND FEEL THE ENERGY OF LOVE AND HOPE. My family and I have been part of Southwest church for over 3 years now and as much as we love the worship team and every program southwest has to offer like celebrate recovery and Rooted, I will say I don’t like that Pastor Ricky has been diving in less and less into the Bible. I’ve noticed he is now reading one verse out of his whole entire sermon. I understand it’s our jobs to devote our personal time to prayer and daily Bible reading to get knowledge on gods will for our life’s but I still feel as a Pastor of a church there should be more focus on feeding the church the word of god and try to combine it into a sermon but one verse a Sunday ….? Security came up to my girlfriend as service started told her there were two men, persons of interest in front of her and we might be evacuated but could stay if we wanted. Freaked her out. She ran from service. Guard told me the same thing. I left of course, found her quite shaken. Took two hours to calm her down. Says she won't go back to church will live stream. (I sure hope so) She loved South West but these times are scary and it's a real bummer that worshipping Jesus and the Holy Spirit can be interupted like this. So so sad. Still trying to take it all in. My faith rules and will continue...
