Well my husband and I are in Bartons at least once a week, we frequently visit all the pallet suppliers in this (and in surrounding) areas-- and purchase multiple pallets monthly. Especially from Bartons! However, the experience we had today has made us decide not come back-- as well as the nice couple that purchased and took, the pallet WE PAID FOR FIRST. THEY GOT TO PAY FOR THE PALLET AFTER US, AND LEAVE WITH THE PALLET, WHILE WE WERE PURCHASING A DIFFERENT PALLET. Although it was refunded, [in 3 to 5 business days...] we had planned on purchasing two separate pallets, and we PULLED THE TAG AND PURCHASED one, then the sales clerk resold the pallet to a different person, while we were decided in purchasing another one. The sales clerk? She said....snooze ya lose. Lol...this may be true, however the pallet was PURCHASED. The customer service lady and the dock men didn't even offer an apology, nothing to make the situation right-- notta!! We have brought so much business to this location, and to be treated this way is absolutely unacceptable. We will not be returning, nor will we be referring any of our partnering businesses to this location anymore. I'm beyond furious, for multiple reasons, but mainly the blatant disrespectful comment from the "ya snooze ya lose," lady-- after point of sale. Absolutely...
Read moreDrove 4 hours for thier Black Saturday pallet sale. First time visiting this place was a disappointment. The Pallets were smaller and priced higher than I get from other places, they cherry pick them to sell in thier resale shop in the same warehouse.
That was the first clue these pallets are a scam, second was the signs not to touch or look past the first layer or break the shrink wrap. This is the first place I have been to that won't let you look beyond the first layer ( by that I don't mean dig and toss things). Third was a pallet marked Amazon returns (as were all of the pallets except for a few) but filled with Wal-Mart boxes, the employee I spoke to swore it came just like that from Amazon.
This company isn't a true Liquidator (more of a resale shop), most likely bought from the bigger Liquidation auction in Indianapolis picked through for the best items, restacked sold off as liquidation pallets. Don't fall prey to the pallet scam.
Run away from the mystery boxes too. They had one with like 6 damaged candles in it marked for 40 bucks. The videos posted on thier site and YouTube are nice but untrue as to what I seen.
As far as a discount store they were well stocked, a little over priced on some items considering...
Read moreAlthough there are no returns on most merchandise, they WILL cheerfully do an exact change IF something was sold to you taped up (as in merchandise previously returned WITH something missing but not marked as such) as long as there is another item the same. Or they'll give you store credit. A receipt is necessary. Someone just moving like me, needs to shop there. The atmosphere is kinda sorta homey. GREAT coffee. 😄 Even better, some one of a kind items. Crystal is really good on alerting you that an item you're interested in is in, as long as you message her. I haven't met a Barton's employee that is not helpful. Even the cat is friendly. 😂 Forgot his name. Anyway, come to Barton's with comfortable clothing, shoes, and $$. Enjoy the music and coffee You...
