Ordered a battery for my 2018 Outback. I thought I ordered the correct one. When I saw it, it looked smaller than the original one I had. Kimberlyn, told me that I must have mistakenly ordered the wrong one. I agreed to pay a little more for the correct one. She offered to come out to the parking lot to check my existing battery and the alternator. I said okay. The battery had died on me a few times (Subaru original batteries are real cheap). The battery had life in it, but she thought maybe it had a dead cell. I didn't want to take any more chances with the original battery. She checked the alternator and it checked out okay. I was all set to drive off with the new battery and install it myself at my house. Kimberlyn, offered, at no additional charge, to install it right then and there, and refund me the core charge by taking back the old battery. Bing, bang, boom, she replaced it, took back the old one, refunded the core charge and off I went. Nice to do business with someone that goes...
Read moreI would recommend people to shop at this location before anywhere else. Not that I've had 'bad' experiences elsewhere, but the customer service is great at this location.
More specifically, Brian the store manager. As we are in a pandemic, store procedures are a bit different and I unfortunately wasn't able to get my car light diagnosed like normally.
However, as the cheaper car readers weren't available and most garages would probably charge about the same price as the newer car readers ($100), Brian allowed me to purchase the store's reader at a lower price which was a no brainer. I'm sure this isn't something they offer normally. I appreciated them meeting the customer's needs instead of just sending me to another location. They made a sale, I was able to get my car read, and they will now get my business & my family's business for years to come. Ipswich, MA O'Reilly Auto Parts knows how to provide...
Read moreI stopped in there because my check engine light was on. I went inside for some help and it first no one would help me. Then someone came out and hooked up a machine underneath my left side of my steering wheel and told me that I needed a new alternator. I already had my alternator done it is new. My problem actually when I googled it was my gas cap was opened a little bit and with the gas cap being open just a little bit or not turned on correctly makes your check engine light come on. So what I've learned from this is don't stop at this auto parts store and...
