Shady canyon trail is beautifully situated in the heart of Irvine and has some hills. It has both gravel and paved trails so riding a bike, walking a dog or running/walking is accessible. The trail begins at the base of the Quail hill community and runs through Shady canyon to Turtle rock. On your trek you will see views of the city, hills, saddleback mountain, strawberry farms golf course along with native flora and fauna.
