Amazing experience! I did tandem paragliding with Seattle paragliding and the experience was amazing. Before the flight, they had an area where people could hang out and chill. They had various activities you could do while waiting for the safety brief like ping pong, axe throwing, shooting, riding down from hill, fire pit and more. I tried my first shooting experience there before the paragliding.
After everyone gathered around you would then go to the safety briefing where we watched some instruction videos on what to do and what not to do. they also have practice gear for each of us to wear and try and practice. The instruction on take off and landing were very straightforward and they made the safety brief very entertained.
You then had options on how to get up to the mountain, shuttle or hiking. If you choose shuttle then you would stay in the hang out area for a little more. My group chose hiking. I would say the hiking trail was kinda tough if you are not physically fit. I got very sweaty on the way up and definitely not dressed for hike. From WTA, the difficulty is rated as Moderate/Hard. Evaluate your own physical fitness level when choosing the methods to get up. The shuttle bus costs $20 per person.
Then it’s the fun time. The instructors were very professional and with a lot of experience. I didn’t feel nervous at all when I watched them setting up. Making sure your instructor helped you striped in and make sure your helmet fit. After the take off. I did feel a bit scared when the instructor handed me the control. During the flight, the instructor would help move around the go pro camera to take good pictures and videos throughout. You have option to purchase these video and photo but it’s not required. It costs $50. I also tipped my instructor for the great experience.
After landing, my group stayed at the hang out area for a bit. The facility has drinks like soda, water, gatorade, and also food like hot dog and marshmallow. I had 4 hot dogs and one of my friend tried the super spicy sauce mad dog. We stayed there for a while and had a good time. All the people are super friendly.
I highly recommend this experience and it’s more than just...
Read moreCame to the Seattle area from Cleveland Ohio on business.. went on a hike with a friend and seen two guys walking up the mountain with huge bags, so I asked them “what’s up with them carrying them bags?” They responded.. “we’re going paragliding” so we talked for a few minutes and i decided to go paragliding with them.. I’ve never done anything like that before and always taking about one day I want to go skydiving.. so I guess we both were at the right place at the right time and I was excited 😜 😎🤙 to go paragliding today.. I hade a great time flying around and over all of this beautiful scenery. I only wish I could have stayed up in the air a lot longer because i had an amazing and fun time … I’ll have to come back sometime soon and do it again. When I made it down the mountain, they have a cool chill spot with lots of other things to do while you wait for your friends, those who wanted to walk back down the trail.. They had a bonfire, marshmallows, hotdogs, hot and cold drinks, throwing axes, shooting pellet guns at targets, and other things.. Definitely a phenomenal experience.. Would definitely recommend to anyone that has never done it before.. or for anyone afraid of heights.. I read this quote once, that said “DO THE THINGS YOU FEAR, AND FEAR WILL DISAPPEAR “. You Only Live Once! Make great memories and friends along the way....
Read moreI highly recommend doing a tandem paragliding experience with Seattle Paragliding. This was my first time doing paragliding, and my experience with Seattle Paragliding was amazing and left me excited to return again. First, the people are incredibly kind and helpful, and also hilarious and know how to have a great time. Marc and his team welcome you like friends to his backyard to play lawn games and relax before your flight, and even has a fire going, s'mores, and a fridge full of drinks. You'll forget you ever felt nervous because you'll be having so much fun before you even fly. Before your flight, Marc and team also provide pre-flight instructions that are thorough and easy to understand and made for first-timers. You will get the full idea of how to sit in the harness, what it feels like, and how to take off before heading up the mountain. My pilot/instructor for my tandem flight (Tyler) was very kind, patient, clear with directions, and a lot of fun. The view during the flight is incredible, and you can see so much of the natural beauty of the area, like Lake Sammamish and Lake Washington, plus beautiful mountains and trees all around. I had an absolute blast feeling on top of the world and really recommend Seattle...
