I am pleased to have found Ken and The Memory Mender to refurbish and restore my 100+-year-old Chinese "cedar" chest. I learned from Ken that it is actually made from camphor wood, among the numerous things I learned from him about the chest. This is an old-fashioned business giving new life to old things. Ken's attention to detail and his consideration for what I wanted the resulting work to look like are exemplary, and Liz's coordination of the various logistical details was most helpful. All that AND the cost was modest.

Liz and Sarah are a great mother daughter team! They were able to communicate thoroughly through text, phone and email with quotes and scheduling. I dropped off two chairs from my office and they were able to reupholster them and bring them back to life! These ladies are the sweetest and do an amazing job! Thank you both.

Absolutely love this family owned business. Fantastic work and very affordable. Some before and after pictures of upholstery work they’ve done for us. I’ve also had furniture refinished and it’s turned out beautifully. I highly recommend them.

We've used them several times over the years and have been quite pleased with their quality. It'll cost a bit but you can ask them to do a pick up as well. Generally we drop them off. 2019 We tried to contact them a couple times to do some current projects and they never got back to us. We called them back a month or two later and ignored us all together. They are nearing retirement. Just be honest and say we are limiting the amount of work we take in rather than saying we'll get back to you and never reply. Three of my family members got the same response. First it was contact us in three months. So we did. Then they said contact us again in six months. So we did. Then they told us contact us back in four month. Gee I guess you don't want the business. All three of us got the same reply for different furniture pieces we wanted mended. We shall seek else where. It's a shame we've been very happy with this company for years. We always support small companies before going to a big company. Guess it's big company...

We brought an oversized Ottoman previously purchased from West Elm to have it re-imagined in a smaller size. Not only was it larger than we thought it would be from the catalog, it was not sturdy. To make matters worse West Elm does not allow returns on items they've custom built.

After searching the web and calling a few places we decided on Memory Mender

Initially I thought the price was expensive, however once I returned to pick up our Ottoman I was pleasantly surprised by their work. It was better than West Elm!! I'd definitely use Memory...
