Asked for electrician to install a chandelier light I recently bought. The day I bought it, I opened the cardboard box to make sure that nothing was broken, primary the glass shades. Kept everything in the styrofoam packaging for safety. Electrician begins to pull out the metal lighting base and turns it over, causing the glass shades to fall out. Two of the shades fell out, one of which shattered on the tile floor. He didn't even look to see where those shades were before pulling pieces out of the styrofoam.
He sort of apologized for breaking it. Still installed the light and gave me $10 off the bill. However, it appears that I might have to buy a new light since I can't find a replacement glass shade. It cost $60 when I bought it. So, I'll spend another $60 for a new one and whatever I spent for him to install that light.
It's more ironic since he used his cell phone to pay for his services. While I was signing for credit card authorization, I noticed the screen on his phone was cracked. He made a comment about always dropping and breaking things. Well, I guess so.
Maybe I'll get lucky and when I call the company on Monday, they'll refund the price of the light.
Update: the company reimbursed me the price of the light, minus the $10 taken off my bill. I appreciate them listening and I appreciate the refund. I do know that the electrician never meant to break anything, but I would ask that he pays a little more attention, just in case...
Read moreI had some repairs being done and paid for by my Home Warranty I purchased from a third party company. After speaking with the electricians about what needed to be done they had one of their employees Breanne Morris call my third party home warranty company to clarify that everything would be covered under my policy. While listening to Breanne speak to my warranty rep, she was very abrasive and rude to my rep and caused a big fuss about the warranty paying her to stay at my house for 10 whole minutes while waiting for the office to get back from lunch. She was on the phone with them at 1:50 PM and they would be back from lunch at 2 o clock. Very unprofessional and rude of her to treat them that way, especially when she is calling to get APPROVAL for my home to be covered under my warranty.
I will be VERY upset if my warranty company declines to approve my repairs at this point. There is no reason for a professional to treat people like that especially when calling to ask the company for a favor on MY behalf.
Very very disappointed in how this grown woman chose to handle herself...
Read moreI had scheduled to have Red Mountain come to my home from 3-5:00. For this reason, I planned to be home by 3:00. When I got to my house at 2:57 the electrician had already been at my house and billing since 2:00. I have a light switch that was going to an outlet for lamps and I wanted to have the switch go to a light. I had everything prepared. When I got there we spent 1/2 hour talking about what to do. He had wired the outlet to have one dead part and the power was directed to the switch where I wanted to have two switches for a light and fan. He didn't have any 3 way wire, but I did have some. I had cleared the insulation from all wiring areas needed. I told him I could run the wire and he said he would. He cut a hole for the switch box and slid my wiring through the holes. He put the box in for the switch and capped those wires. That is all that was done. The...
