Hello folks,
I have been fortunate to have experienced, two (2) Factory tours this year (2018) and have recently purchased the 2019 Classic 33 FB Twin from Stacey Trisle at Arbogast RV in Troy OHIO.
The Vin.# (**545421) has already been sent to my insurance company and I have been apprised that while my unit has been completed as of this date, your new “Smart” interface System is being double & Tripple checked prior to the coach being released.
I appreciate your companies motto, don’t make changes, only improvements”. It shows. This is the reason I invested in your Flagship model.
My first Grandchild was born on 7 June 2018 and my anticipation is, with proper care and service this Airstream Classic will last my lifetime, my Childrens lifetime and my Grandchildrens lifetime and then some.
As a Dissabled US NAVY Veteran I have many unique challenges that limit my ability to do many physical activities required to maintain my “Sticks & Bricks” homes and as such, many of the unique features afforded to me in your 2019 Classic 33 Travle Trailer assures me an, ease of living and traveling all with “Five Star Accommodations” in supreme confidence going forward traveling America for years not afforded with any other RV type/brand (Sticks & Staples) offered for sale today.
I recently purchased my 2018 Ford Super Duty F-350 Limited and have delivered Fords, wired Backup Camera parts to ARBOGAST for installation to supplement your wireless camera system. I assume they will run the wires below the belly pans and was wondering if your company anticipated such up fittings and incorporate some type of chase in the inclosed underbelly.(?) Something to consider. We’ll figure it out either way.
As I anticipate I will be able to be doing a lot of, “Boon docking” for many years to come I am making plans to up fit my Solar System with Lithium Ion Batteries and as many Solar panels that will fit to argument your Factory Solar feature.
One important feature that is required is the “A/C Slow Start” Electronic Upgrade - I believe that is an “Important Improvement” for your company to consider as a Standard feature.
I also plan to (at some point) delete your residential Porcelain Macerator Toilet and replacing it with a composting Toilet, converting my Black Tank to an Overflow Grey Tank to afford me a much longer Boondocking experience.
My question is this, should I remove your Macerator Toilet “Prior to taking delivery next week” and installing my Composting Toilet, are you interested in me returning this new/ Never used item back to your Factory?
ARBOGAST RV has no interest in taking it back and it seems such a waist to discard such a nice piece of equipment.
Please let me know ASAP and I will be very pleased to deliver back to your service center once everything is arranged.
Thank you so very much for all you do.
Yours very truly Kyle...
Read moreI bought a new Caravel 22fb last summer and although Airstream sent me a survey for the purchase experience, I didn't receive one for the actual camper. As a result, I figured I would review here. This is our second Airstream. I like to end things on a positive note, so let's start with the cons: The water pump stopped working during our first camping trip. After a month at Camping World OKC (waiting for approval to fix it under warranty and for the new pump to arrive), I was able to pick up the camper. We had to cancel a trip for this repair. Upon picking up the camper and dropping it off at storage, the exterior/towing lights will not turn off, even when disconnected from the vehicle. It is back at the dealer and it looks like we will be canceling another camping trip for it. Airstream, please STOP mounting dry erase boards to the entrance walls. Our Bambi and the new Caravel 22fb had one. They are a royal pain to remove, and people have cell phones and notepads for list. We don't need a tacky dry erase board that rubs off on everyone that brushes past it. Our Bambi 16rb had nicer flooring than the Caravel 22fb. It was ceramic plank made to look like wood and it was super durable and nice looking. The Caravel has cheap linoleum type floor and it scuffs easy. The gloss black base panel of the camper has underspray that was not completely coated by the factory (pic attached) The toilet seat was mounted very off-centered - minor but important.
Now for the positives: Resale value Distinct look Nice finishings, but only nice if the rest of the...
Read moreLoved the tour, Terry was friendly, entertaining and informative. Glad to see that a new factory is in the process of being built, don't know how you do what you do in the space. I worked in a furniture factory one summer from collage and know how difficult the work is and appreciate the skill and craftsmanship of each and every worker. Can't wait for the delivery of our 22FB a small gem it will be. Unfortunately after traveling from Virginia to see my unit in the beginning stages of its birth, it was not at the assembly point yet. I was told when I called about the tour the guide would do all that was possible to enable me to see it. A suggestion in the future, it would be most appreciated if after the tour completion, if the new owner was allowed to come back and see the unit after assembly. There was 2.5 hours left before floor shutdown, so it might be possible to see ours. I know that in some cases the assembly might be pushed to the next day, but the extra effort would be appreciated. The guy traveling with me also thought that the factory should give the new owners a hat or key fob for coming to see their unit. For the cost of the investment, he thought it would be appropriate. He is retired from a large electrical equipment manufacturer and that was his opinion. I was very satisfied with the tour and highly recommend a visit to the...
