TDLR: rushed, low quality, gimmicky services, pricing structure not transparent — This shop is all ambiance. My experience was low to mid quality service. My tech Rose was polite but visibly scattered. Pedicure was rushed. I did not get to soak my feet and she was literally clipping my toenails as soon as she sat down. She did not consult with me about how I wanted them clipped and I had to rush to stop her as she was about to set me up for in-grown toenails. It was like the pedicure express as she rushed to do my feet never checking my heels to ensure they were smooth (they were not) , and literally slapping polish on without verifying that I liked the color, if I wanted more coats of polish or anything. Filed my toenails like she was in a race. Again, no checking in with me, no checking to see if they were actually shaped properly (they were not). Rush polish job- I literally glanced at my phone and when I looked up she was applying the top coat. My feet do not look like I received a professional pedicure service.
Then the gimmicky massage-which I would’ve rather she spent more time ensuring my actual service was completed than her rubbing my legs with orange slices and a low quality exfoliant. The “steam” treatment was a waste of time as it took her several trips to get towels and set up the machine.
To top things off she tells me the shop is out of flip flops and has me shuffle barefoot on a towel to the wax room. I show her how I wanted my brows done, thick with just a cleanup- and she does the opposite. They are quite thin. And to whomever responds to these reviews it does not matter if I said anything in the shop. It’s not like you could undo a wax service. Finally I literally PUT ON MY SOCKS to walk to the front for nails.
Phillip, one of the salon owners, was polite enough. I asked for a basic set, short “coffin” like. He does medium length but it’s fine. I get to the register and they charge a $5 surcharge for length, another $5 for shape. You cannot get acrylic nails without them being shaped. Why is this not inclusive in price? Which shape is inclusive? The base price is $61.
The receptionist tells me they charge an additional $3 for short length, $5 for medium, and up from there. THEN they charge almost $4 extra if you pay with a credit card. I have been a small business owner. I understand these fees, however according to Phillip, this shop grosses 5-6 figures MONTHLY. You are not hurting for money but you definitely are...
Read moreI decided to visit this particular salon because of its "great reviews on Tiktok". However, I think I'll stick to where I've been going. I was hoping for a better experience however I wasn't impressed at all. The astectics are nice however. I was blown my the timers used when Servicing. Me personally would like to enjoy my time being that it's relax time fr me when coming to the salon. YES I know they can't spend all day cause of other customers. BUT PLEASE DO NOT RUSH MY TIME. I requested a pedi, which turned out fine. However, I wanted Ombre nails and whew the confusion that went around. I was offered a few different ways to do things. Do not try to uncharge someone when you feel or see they really don't know how a certain service is to be rendered. By the time I got to my nails I wanted to just go home. However, I got a mani which I left with skin bleeding from such an awfully RUSHED JOB. I had quite a good length on my nails once removing my overlay only to leave with none. Kept having to tell the tech to correct my nails which were slanted and by time I had no nails to correct. The color, I mentioned wanting MULTIPLE times ended up being COMPLETELY WRONG! even after asking multiple times and her replying "I don't know, this is what xyz told me". it's too easy to confirm before proceeding. Yes I was offered to get them corrected however by the time I was pushing being late for a more important event. I allowed myself 2 hrs and even made an appointment which I was early for ... so NO I wasn't going to sit another 1+ hrs i didn't have. I could've went back the following day but after the aggrevation I will just let them be and never return. Checking out was tragic to find out they charge you 20$ for gel paint after getting a 30$ mani. I will stick to what I know! Smh! Doesn't even look like I even got a mani. My nail cuticles hurt though... To each is own on whether you visit or not. I'm just reviewing off of MY EXPERIENCE. The salon is...
Read moreI had a pedicure done by Layla, she was so sweet and did an excellent job. However a different girl did my manicure and she did not impress. My nails have weird bubbles in the surface of the polish. I declined to have the quick dry polish 4 different times, only to find out when I paid that she did the more expensive polish anyways despite me telling her no and that I wanted the exact same polish that layla put on my toes. She continually talked to me despite the fact I had headphones on and expressed I was not interested in small talk because I was listening to a podcast. The salon is beautiful and the customer service is top notch with the exception of the girl who did my manicure. I will likely be back to see Layla for pedicures in the future but I do not feel I got my moneys worth with my manicure, especially since I paid for a more expensive product than I wanted and it looks worse than the regular polish that was applied to my toes.
If the customer declines a more expensive product please please do not continually ask and especially do not use that product anyways despite customer wishes. I am a new single mother of a newborn and I got a mani pedi as a special treat for myself today because I haven't been able to do things like this in well over a year. But I cannot afford to pay $12 extra for a product that wasn't necessary, wasnt requested and...
