After a long day of work, I really wanted a seafood feast, so I decided on The Seafood Shack. I got the crab platter and added a pound of crab legs with the spicy cajun butter sauce. I saw the Turkey necks platter, it was only $8.99 plus corn, potato, and sausage, so I jumped on that deal. I asked the lady at the register if she thought that'll be enough food for me, she said "Yes definitely!" So I stopped there, or I was going to order frog legs and a few pounds of crawfish 🤣 I was hungry.
The lines were long, the waiting area was full, but my food came out pretty quick, about 20mins. Not bad at all considering how many folks were waiting. Carrying out my food, it felt kind of light, so on my way home, I dropped by Crawdad Hole and got 5lbs of crawfish, yes I have fat syndrome, my eye's bigger than my stomach.
When I opened the two platters from Seafood Shack, I realized that I've made a mistake buying all that crawfish, there was plenty of food! The potato wasn't those small red potatoes, no, they give you a whole giant potato! That sauce is just buttery goodness! I dipped my crawfish and Turkey necks all up in it!! I'm now ready for a nap. Service at both places were great, quick, and the food...
Read moreI have never had a prob with them until this past week. I ordered 2 plates of 1 lb crablegs for $32 and was jipped. They gave me only 2 thin clusters on my plate and broke off about 5 legs from the other plate which was my guy food. He has 3 clusters but missing legs and he thought I took some of his legs. I know for a fact I didn't have a pound of crab legs. I eat seafood on the regular so I know my portion size. The food is always good, but I was a cash paying customer and didn't use my EBT card like I usually do. I am very upset with the new people they have working in the back because I been going here faithfully since they opened up and I have never had this issue. Seafood is extremely too expensive for someone to play with my food and hard earned money!!! Word of advice always check your food before you leave the building or you'll get home and be...
Read moreThe prep lady had on 1 glove on the right hand, and while prepping food to be cooked, she played with her phone with the gloved hand, touch every counter, every raw meat (let me remind you that this is all being done with the gloved hand), touching her hair, and her clothing with that same gloved hand. I guess she was protecting her hand. This is cross contamination & very poor and unacceptable food preparation. And if I where the HD, it would be a violation, warning, fine or combination of all three. I did not stay long enough to order because my appetite was spoiled. I hope that in the future, I can enjoy the Seafood Shack because I have heard nothing but great things. This was my first time visiting so first impressions do...
