SIR ā¦ā¦. If the hoses were checked as you state , the problem would have been found. Yes, it certainly ultimately lied in the plumbing end of it. According to the āpadā everything was good! So why a new board????? Why a washer valve ????? I know Iām getting no where fast with this, Iām so disappointed that todayās techs are not thought to think outside the box. Everything is remove and replace untilā¦. itās fixed or not. Call me old fashioned but ā¦.DARN!!!!!
My stackable washer was only filling up about five inches of water.. called bells and they sent out a tech. Tech got on his pad and check everything. Said the pad was indicating that there was 25 (I think) gallons of water that was being dispensed in the machine. I kept saying noā¦..there Is not 25 gallons of water . I had 5 inches of water no matter what level of water I chose. He replaced the water valve inlet going into the machine . It was not fixed , the tech said he would come back the next day with a master tech to see what the problem was. Well of course i had to call the next day looking for them to come. Finally the master tech cameā¦.again with the padā¦.said everything looked like it was fine according g to the pad. He then suggested a new board, ??? He refunded me the $ for the water valve and proceeded to replace the board. Still only 5ā of waterā¦ā¦.wth! To say I was pissed is an understatement. The reponses I got via email /text was that essentially there was nothing else they could do to fix the problem . I was out 500+$.
Soā¦.i decide to get help to pull out the machine and check for kinks in hoses. (Something they did NOT do, or even suggest or attempt). In pulling out the machine to check the hoses I saw that the incoming water valves were crusted and tight ( they were along side the machine not in the back nd were clearly visible) Called a plumber to replace them and low and behold that was the problem! The hoses were blocked by āwhateverā. I spent over 500$ with Bells appliance and got screwed royally. They are not appliance experts by any means. guess the techs are not taught to think beyond remove and replace until itās working. I understand they re not āplumbersā butā¦ā¦ Come onā¦ā¦ think outside the box!!!!
Btwā¦..not the first encounter Iāve had with them, but I wanted to try since the first encounter was not completely their fault.
I did email them , and my last words werenāt nice, but after such frustration and waste of $$$$$. I was dumbfounded by the solution and that neither tech found the problem. My washer is working as it should, for half the cost of what I"donated" to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo not ever use this company, they will price gouge you!! I will never use this company. They were contacted by Home Depot because the install if my new washer and dryer were installed wrong and to check the dryer ventilation because I was getting errors. Bell's appliance came out 4 days later to look at the appliances and make the necessary repairs or so I thought . I was told up front that they could repair the ventilation and or clean it out for an extra charge, I said that would be fine I understand that. When the service tech came he repaired the leaking washer by telling me the drain hose was not pushed into the drain far enough that's why it was leaking. Also readjusted the washer so it wasn't sitting to high in the front. He then checked the dryer vent seeing there was no air flow blowing on the outside and by shining a light into it and told me it was clogged no air flow. Looked under the house and said he saw no damage to the line. I asked him so you will be fixing that. He said no it won't be today I have 2 other calls to go to. WHAT?REALLY!! He didn't even have the equipment on his truck to clean or repair the dryer vents. What happened to fixing my issue from the initial call. He told me it was going to be $159.00 to "start to fix" ventilation and it wasn't going to be until next Wednesday which was going to be a week later. I said why so much, you are charging as if it an emergency call but yet you are waiting a week to schedule me again. He said yes it is an emergancy you can't dry your clothes. So then why wait a week? Then he contacted someone about this and said he was waiting for a guy to bring the equipment now because of my frustration. I will say he tried to get the help for me however he then said it is now going to cost me $179.00 to clean the dryer vent. PRICE GOUGING!! I called several other companies about pricing and dryer vent cleaning was a service call price from $75.00 to $100.00 . You people should not be treating your local town folks like this. You will not be in business very long.
Reply back to your response: On Fri, Mar 1, 2019, 9:28 AM You are so wrong, he did not leave to avoid further frustration or the situation. He left because I told him not at that price! I still think you were price gouging me. Saying it was an emergancy and then not scheduling till the following Wednesday. But then all of a sudden was able to get help that same day after he told he couldn't do it because he had 2 other calls after me, than the price went up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHello Everyone,
Well my initial contact with Bell's appliance was annoying at the time, but amusing now. But it was all my fault, not theirs. So I am up late usually, so if I need help, I usually e-mail people because calling people is not an option since they are typically closed. Well, that is how i got ahold of Bell's Appliance. Somehow I e-mailed them and told them I had a problem with my washer. These folks, I tell you what. They want your business! They called me as soon as possible. I was asleep, right? I told them I would have to ask my mom about the repair since it sounded kinda high. I hung up, went back to sleep. No thang. Y'all, they called back the next day. And no, I had not asked my mom what she thought about the repair. Folks, they were putting me to work! So since I had not asked my mom about the repair as I said I was going to, I got up out of bed and went to go get mom to ask her. (This is the part I am laughing about now.) Surprisingly, she was willing to pay for the trip charge even if it meant that we did not get the thing repaired with them. The "thing" was a washer/dryer combo and the washer part was not working right, meaning it worked when it felt like it.
So not only did these folks wake me up two days in a row, they sent someone over right away! I tell you what, they don't play around; they are on it. Carlos was our technician and he was super nice. I felt bad for him because I was like, "He's not going to be able to figure this out, this is just too hard." But he did. He told us exactly what the problem was and he gave us options in how to fix it. Yes, Bells Appliance will charge for a trip charge no matter what, but the service they provide is worth it. And Carlos was not in it for the money, you could tell. The subsequent part and repair were going to be too much, but Carlos was nice enough to give us some options - as I said earlier - to make the machine run until we got to a place where we could make the repair. For that I was really appreciative. Not everyone can just hand over 400, 500 dollars and these folks seem to understand that.
So while Bell's Appliance is persistent in obtaining your business, when you do let them help you, they do a good job. And thank you for the funny story to tell about how the appliance repair store picked me instead of me picking them!
