We were getting ready to remodel our kitchen, so we were looking for new cabinets.

Whoever thought we would find cabinets at Buchheits? I had no idea they had cabinets, let alone cabinets that were so well made. We were also pleasantly surprised that Buchheits had a cabinet designer on staff. Melissa traveled from Jacksonville to Brighton to measure for our cabinets at no charge. While the big box store that is located 15 minutes from us charged $49. The person they sent to measure had our kitchen six inches longer than it really is. When we went to pick up the drawings from the box store a week later, they were not ready, even though we had an appointment. Melissa had the drawings ready when she said she would and her measurements were correct. She worked with us to get some of the extras we were looking for and arranged for installation that fit our busy schedule. The cabinets are installed. They were reasonable and look great. I will not be back to this store! This is the second trip I have made to this store specifically for chickens from over an hour away. Each time I have called before driving there and ask what chickens are in stock. Both times they told me they had over 30 Red laced blue Wyandotte chicks in stock. Both times when I got there they didn’t have the chickens I specifically asked for. I spoke with a manager “Jason” on the phone and he told me they did in fact have 32 of those chicks in stock. When I asked to speak with him about the issue at the store in person he told me that “it was busy and he couldn’t go to look what they had”. That is pathetic. People like me drive a long ways and make special trips for something I SPECIFICALLY asked for! If he didn’t have time then all he had to do was say that! On 7/8/23 my husband went to the Jacksonville store to purchase 10 bags of top soil. He asked the cashier if he could get help loading and the cashier paged for yard assistance. After 10 minutes he went back in to ask for help and was told to go back out and wait. He saw an employee on a fork lift and tried to wave him down, but he was ignored. After another 20 minutes, he loaded it himself and went back in to tell the cashier. He was instructed to wait for someone to count the bags. I called the store three times before someone answered. I told Brandon the situation and all he had to say was he had paged someone to the yard department and tell my husband to leave. Poor customer service. Will not shop...
