Mangia Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Disappointing. We went yesterday around 1:40. We passed it going into town and there were two cars there, when we went back for lunch the same two cars were still there, but there were dirty tables and not enough time had passed that people had been in and out between when we had first gone by. The waitress was sitting with her feet up at a cluttered counter. Not a good thing to see when you first walk in the door. There were cleaning products among other things on the counter, guessing maybe they didn't want people to sit there which is good considering there was no place. My daughter ordered a sweet tea and the waitress acted inconvenienced by having to make more tea. This restaurant is open until 9pm. She would've had to make more anyway. The food wasn't horrible, but definitely not great. If we would've had better service I could probably overlook what I didn't like about the food and vice versa. Unfortunately the combination of so so service and so so food plus dirty tables and the messy counter, it's a no from me. Beautiful...

Food was so-so. I got the cheeseburger, which was very very bland. Fries were good. The waitress was very indifferent to the point of rudeness. My husband ordered an unsweetened tea and as she brought it to the table, she said: "I brought you a sweet tea by mistake. Is that okay?" First of all, that proves right there that she knew she was bringing someone something they didn't order. She even said, " I can take it back and give you the unsweetened if you want...." Why didn't you correct your mistake back in the back, BEFORE you brought it out? Why would you knowingly bring YOUR MISTAKE to someone's table. Not wanting to make a fuss, my husband accepted it. We also had to wait for this same waitress to get off of her cell phone before she came back to our table to take our food orders. Didn't check on us during the meal...would we go back? A...

I was extreamly unimpressed. I have gone here in the recent past with no problems but this was unacceptable. We decided we wanted to do something different for Valentines day so we came there early to avoid the holiday rush. Upon arrival their was maybe 3 other tables there but we still waited almost an hour on our food to arrive to then realize that prices had gone up and portion sizes had cut in half not to mention the fact that our waitress checked on us maybe twice while we were there. I was so frustrated by our experience that I was physically shaking and lost my appetite and couldn't eat my ridiculously over priced half portion of food. We will not be back and I will be sure to spread the word to everyone I know so that they don't have to endure the frustrations I did on my valentines holiday...
