Perhaps it was an isolated incident, but who takes the time to review a grocery store after three bad experiences, and seeing that their overall score was 4.5/5 (90%). I’m calling to question the validity of the data set. There’s bad experience: I transfer all of my prescriptions, maintenance meds, and psychiatric drugs to Winn-Dixie in an attempt to have them be my home pharmacy. not only did they lose, confuse the directions of, and claim I had filled prescriptions that I had never filled. On top of all that chaos, they tried to make it sound like my fault, and refused to fill medications of reasonable strength and quantity, and stopping cold turkey as I did could be deadly and is certainly worth a trip to the ER. The second time involved the rude, sure and downright insulting treatment from one particular pharmacist that I will not name, but they know who they are. Mental health is already stigmatized and taboo, but I want so badly to be normal. I’ve been open about my mental health, the areas that need improvement, and remained absolutely compliant with my medications (unless a random pharmacist has opinions that differ from my doctor, a man who has known me for approximately 15 years). If I had to guess how much I drink, it would be less than once per year. Finally, the third time was a different pharmacist, very kind and helpful and working alone. As I’m writing this review, I got a call from the store stating that I had forgotten the prescriptions that I had gone to get in the first place. This brings me to the third and final strike with Winn-Dixie. Although my first job was bagging groceries for Winn-Dixie, I go to Publix and target whenever possible. Picking up some prescriptions, I figured I’d grab an item or two. And it looks like my favorite chips are on sale or so the numerous stickers on the shelf indicate. I asked the self checkout cashier for assistance, and instead of honoring. The sale., which head ended yesterday and they had forgotten to take the stickers down, she first told me it was only on a specific variety. So I got all of that variety., Still no promo, it was me who discovered that the sale had ended one day prior, and was honest enough to bring this to their attention. Instead of honoring the sal (which is not about the dollar and change, it is principle), she obviously scoffed and sucked her teeth at me when I asked her to remove the extra things that I added to get the sale. The decline of and often total lack. Of Customer Service these days. Is getting out of control. I have worked in retail and hospitality and held many different positions while getting my degree, most of which involved the provision of quality customer service, and leading a customer leave so flustered that they left behind the very thing that they went in for does not bode well for a future business. That plus them billing my health insurance for prescriptions that I never obtained. Am I the only one that is getting sick of this terrible customer service followed by a request for a five star review? I have no problem, giving a five star review if it is earned, but one way for me not to give it, and probably to refrain from a review is to ask for a certain one; it’s too much of an invitation for bias. I’m going to rent for one second. We were all very traumatized being in what amounts to a very nice version of solitary confinement for about a year and a half to two years; we are all lacking in this socialization that was president before Covid hit. Idle time or idle hands, if you like truly are the devils playground. I love giving great reviews, and I despise giving bad ones, but I would want to know the truth. And will do my best to tell it regarding any experience I might have. And if nothing else, if none of this bothers you, who deprives someone of...
Read moreTwo days before Christmas on Dec 23 2021, after giving me the COVID vaccine, pharmacist Sarah withheld my immunizations card and drivers license. She went on to assist two white male customers while I watched. Sarah made eye contact with me during this time.
Eventually, one of the two aforementioned customers said I had been waiting for a while (thank you stranger) and only then was I handed my documents. I understand mistakes happen, however, no apology was offered until after I demanded an explanation. In hindsight, stupid me for being so patient and understanding. I will not return to this Winn Dixie due to this pharmacist’s racial discrimination.
On the plus side, pharmacist Yelena Zhukova from an earlier visit was incredibly professional. I went so far as to dedicate a thank you note to her on my LinkedIn page on Thanksgiving Day. I tagged Winn-Dixie’s business page on that post.
tl;dr: if you go to this pharmacy and you are not a white male, avoid pharmacist Sarah. If you are a white male, nothing to...
Read moreSaw other poor reviews on the pharmacy, and I gotta go along with that. I went to Winn Dixie with the GoodRx coupon only, since I was buying allergy med that my Dr prescribed but for which does not really require a prescription. They told me "you can only get that deal with a prescription from your dr.". Ok, fine. So I go back to the Dr. office and got a prescription about a week later. Called this Winn DIxie to verify that they had the generic version and enough to fill the prescription. The gal on the phone confirmed it. So, I get there today, and the gal takes my order back to some guy working there. He did not have a name tag, or I'd list it here. Guy tells me he cannot honor the Goodrx. I asked why and he did not provide any clear response that I could take back to Goodrx or Winn Dixie management. Just refused to fill the prescription. So yeah, kind of frustrating that they had me run to get the prescription and then tell me...
