IN REGARDS TO SAM WHO DIED OF HEAT STROKE IN ALL DOGS CARE:
We (Jack and Bekka) are unable to comment on your reply on google. Your response comes only after we were able to add an update on yelp about your lack of response and how we would hope that you would implement changes to recognize heat stroke sooner.
Stroke incident: The national weather service released a heat index warning for July 9th 2024 (day of the incident) and at 10AM it was already around 90 degrees and the humidity at that time was 75% making it much warmer than the listed degrees. We also checked the cameras from that day and other pets were seen being put back in their kennels with extra fans facing directly at them - unable to link weather report pictures on Google, they are linked on our yelp review. The veterinarian that you took him to also confirmed he had a heat stroke and that "nothing else could make him this hotâ (greater than 108). You also told us he had a heat stroke when you called to tell us what happened.
(skipping your second point) Communication: This is where the main issue lies. We asked numerous times if we should return home to care for Sam and were told by you that it was under control. This was asked at least three times by us. To try to place further guilt and direct blame on to us and for not returning and taking Sam to another veterinarian right away is cruel. Not everyone has medical knowledge of animals and we trusted you and the word of the veterinarian he was taken to. As stated before, it was only after my sister called (a veterinarian) and spoke to the veterinarian and your staff that the full gravity of the situation was made known. The veterinarian himself was surprised he even able to get him cooled down enough to become conscious (his temp was unreadable and thermometers stop measuring around 108) and that his best chance of recovery was to "return to a place he was more comfortable and staring at him in hospital wasn't going to make him better", i.e. essentially up to god, when that's just bad medicine. Again though, this review isn't about what happened there. This all could've been avoided by just never leaving a dog outside for 30 minutes during a state wide heat index warning. We are unsure why it feels like All Dogs can't just accept this blame.
We had no plans of replying to if you ever did comment back but blame shifting onto us is really inappropriate. You should know we feel immense guilt for not immediately returning for Sam. We simply trusted you, which was the main mistake.
We do not wish for your place of business to be harassed or tormented, as at the end of the day we are all human. We only want people to know this happened and for a change to be made. With everything that has unfolded since posting a review, I am unsure that is possible. We do not wish to contact your place of business or hear from you any further if possible.
We pray for all pets that continue to go...
Read moreThis is edited to add this: What professional business calls a customer of over 8 years and threatens them YET AGAIN--because they don't like their business review? I can contact the BBB, post my feelings anywhere--it is my right to voice how a business interacts with the public. People, this is America and in America consumers have the last word. I was mistreated, period. I had written this business a check on a bill, but after picking up my pets, my small dog was gravely ill one day later. That check didn't clear and I had every intention of paying it. However, due to the fact I was having to go back and forth to the vet, I simply hadn't had time to take care of it. Once again, this business owner could have cared less, even when I had my son call to pay this bill I'd totally forgotten about. It's quite natural when you have a terminal pet to be forgetful. Now, let me add, this business called my house THREATENED me yet again, due to a review. You're a business, get over yourself. I can post my review where ever I want, people deserve to know how they might be treated when one mistake happens. Let's be clear, there is no place for blatant disregard of civility to a consumer who has PAID a business and OWES nothing** I have been doing business with All Dogs since they first opened years ago, and I can honestly say this place has steadily gone down hill. They care only about MONEY, period. I have a dog that is now very ill, after having stayed at All Dogs for a week. There was no empathy from the owner here, and in fact, she believes threatening people is somehow polite. It's nice to know what type of people you're dealing with, and believe me, this business is far from honest. I'm not the only one who has faced mistreatment, but the owner will soon learn, threats, a lack of empathy for animals and owners--this is doesn't help a business. Word of mouth is a B, and I am happy to tell everyone I know what this place is really all about. Never in all my life have I seen someone so RUDE, and only caring about money to line their wallet. It's disgusting. If you do business here, do so at your own risk. If anything goes wrong with your pet, they'll deny liability and they won't care at all. I'll NEVER do business here again after the threats and hatefulness when I'm dealing with a dying pet this OWNER claimed to care about for over 8 years. Pathetic...
Read moreOctober 9th. My dog died after being in their care. They promised me they would and could care for him and his diabetic needs. The owner assured me he was in good hands and would be well cared for! In less than 48 hours he was rushed to the ER vet near by due to seizures brought on by hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia is caused by a drastic drop of blood glucose levels due to overdosing or neglect. He was seen by his vet 30 minutes prior to being boarded and was fine and full of life. Iâm severely crushed. I trusted them and was out of town 8 hours away due to a familyâs health issue. Two young girls took him to the ER. The owner never assisted with this. The ER facility did the best they could to try to save him as he was seizing bad with a glucose level of 29!!! I had to make a horrible decision over the phone to stop his suffering. The boarders refused to help with his $1100 vet bill even though had originally called expressing an interest in paying for it until she heard the amount it was. The ER staff stated she became very rude. My pure bred little dachshund creature is gone. Suffered so much all while in their care. If I had known they were not capable of truly caring for him I wouldâve never left him in their care. I was notified two weeks later by a staff member Rhonda that my bill at the ER was still pending !!! How brutally unkind. Theyâre not a loving compassionate âwe will treat your fur babies like theyâre our ownâ place. My friends and family are devastated. My granddaughter keeps asking when heâs coming home. I will NEVER leave a live creature in their care ever again. If you read any reviews that are negative, trust your gut as I should have. Iâll be forever sorry that I left him with those people.
Now a response from the owner is received 6 weeks after the original review but she jumps on the 5 star ratings. You are cold and heartless. Your staff made a huge mistake and you were ready to pay the bill according to the ER facility until you heard the cost. Youâre money hungry!
As the owner Holly you were not there for any of his care or to take him to the ER!! So there is no WE in what...
