The first time I've ever stopped a haircut, tore the cape off and left crying. (Yes, I paid). I went for a haircut, color and highlights. I went in with hair a little down my shoulders. I brought in pictures for the cut and highlights to show what I want. It was simple. I wanted bangs, length to just touch the shoulders and feathered/layered. I just grew back a bad haircut that looked like it was butchered and it was strawy. Needless to say when they dried my hair it was strawy as when I came. My hair is very healthy, the instructor said so and it was sift not dry. It was like it was cut with a razor or dull scissors. I told the instructor I wasn't happy about it and how I wanted it layered or feathered like the pictures. So she begins to cut it exactly the way they did the first time. I thought maybe I was wrong. When the instructor left, the young lady cuts it just like they did the first time and it was getting shorter and shorter. I told her to stop and said I'm sorry. I took the cape off and by the time I made it to cashier I was nearly crying. The instructor came then and said she'd fix it but I had already told her twice and I was afraid it wouldn't stop. It was way too short to do anything and started blaming me that I kept telling her to keep cutting it which I didn't. She said something under her breath threw her hands up and stomped off in front of all the students. Not professional at all. By then I was crying and apologize to the students. I left because I didn't want it to get out of control. So my cut is awful and I can't style or curl it. It's almost to my ears. Sad. I won't be going...

Went to Merrell for the 1st time to get red and blonde highlights put in my hair. I asked for a student that was about to graduate (no super rookie) to do the color. My hair is shoulder length and the price was 61.00. I didn't think that was bad until after 4 hours in the chair I was informed that the red and blonde had faded together and my hair was now hot pink! -See for yourself.- I included a picture of the color I asked for vs what i got... They told me there wasn't anything more that they could do to fix it because it was the end of their work/school day and that I would need to come back in the following Tuesday to get the blonde color put back in (with nothing to say of the pink that was left of my supposed to be mahogany red highlights that were now also pink). I literally paid them my 61.00 and walked out of there with my hot pink hair. I wanted to cry. Of course I had to go to work on Monday even if they didnt and could not sgow up looking like that. I ended up trying to piece some darker box color in over the weekend so it wouldn't be so bad. Then when I came back on Tuesday I immediately asked if they were going to charge me to try and fix it. The teacher on the floor said she would have to ask the business owner, Ashley Short or Sharp. When she came back from talking to her she confirmed that I would be expected to pay for the repair (another 37.00!) I will never go back there. Save a buck or not and unfortunately it also seems they aren't turning out quality graduates...

Two weeks ago I went in to have some low lights put in and a trim my hair was about to my bra strap and literally I left there with uneven hair all over I didn't notice till I got home because they didn't style it this was on a Friday left them a message didn't hear back from him Tuesday so I called again and left another message explaining I was there they messed up my hair I'd like them to fix it Thursday comes around still haven't heard back from them so I go up there they make an appointment for me Friday to fix the four plus inches that they cut off they didn't offer me a refund they cut my hair even shorter and now I realize this is a school but when you show them a picture of what you want and you come out of there hours later with hair you can't even put back in a clip that's unexcusable, no refund offered and instructor told me too settle down it's hair it will grow back, maybe in years how short it was chopped, literally top back of hair doesn't even go too middle of back of my head while what little is left it above...
