Hello my name is Wendy D. And let me start by saying that I have been contemplating getting custom drapery for my home for a very very long time. And finally after 12 years I decided to just do it and get it over with already. I called two different companies that specialize in Custom Drapery and one person basically told me that I lived too far away but if I decided to use her she would commit to coming to my house but if not she basically would not waste her time coming out to my house if it was not worth her while. Needless to say I tried the other company by the name of “Melanie’s Custom Coverings”and it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made in my life! You talk about a beautiful honest, professional, knowledgeable, and caring soul. Even though I was an hour away from Melanie’s Custom Coverings she came to my home and took her time in helping me decide what look would best fit the areas that I wanted to focus on. Melanie spent hours and hours helping me choose the correct pattern, style and fabric for the three different locations that I wanted to focus on. She measured the three locations then brought her install guy named Jeff to make sure and confirm that her measurements were accurate, and they were. She is such a perfectionists. My drapes, roller shade, shades and vertical blinds were all ready in a timely fashion and they were installed by Melanie’s installation guy Jeff. Let me tell you about Jeff, both Jeff and Melanie worked from sun up until sundown non stop like a robot without taking a break for two straight days for about 9 hours each day. I mean the installations were very time consuming and definitely done by Jeff whom is a very talented professional! The installs look beautiful!!! I am soo happy and soo satisfied with everything!!! I mean Melanie and Jeff worked very long exhausting hours and they did not stop until everything was done to perfection! They were like Bonnie and Clyde. The quality of the the materials used on the three installations definitely exceeded my expectations by far! We moved into a new house recently and used Melanie’s Custom Coverings for all our window draperies. Being new to the area we looked on various search engines and came across Melanie’s website and her excellent reviews. We were not disappointed with our choice. Easily scheduled an in-home consultation with Melanie. She came with lots and lots of great fabric choices, styles and colors (+ her enthusiastic personality!). She was patient with us as we went through many choices – offering her advice – but letting us ultimately decide for each room. Ordering process was painless and her estimate for delivery was spot on and very reasonable even dealing with supply chain issues. Installation day came and her professional installer arrived. He took his time and did an excellent job installing, lining everything up to the specifications. Melanie arrived to make sure all went ok. During the install it was determined we needed a few extra brackets to ensure everything was perfect. I am extremely happy with my experience working with Melanie’s Custom Coverings. Melanie first visited with me to discuss our needs and provided great advice and recommendations that were in keeping with both our tastes and colors. She showed me an extensive range of color and fabric samples allowing me to select options we knew we’d be happy with but could also incorporate some of my existing furniture pieces. Melanie sat with me and did all the measurements and was able to provide me with a quote right on the spot. Fast forward to install day, John arrived on time and was armed with all he needed to get the job completed. It was quickly evident John is an experienced professional in his work with an eye for detail in the finished look of the installation.
