There’s a place in heaven for Vincenzo, his daughters and their crews! For two reasons: the work they did for us down the shore in New Jersey, and the work they did for my mother-in-law in Pennsylvania. 1) We redid our kitchen and bathrooms and wanted something more distinctive than synthetic stone. I wasn’t’ so thrilled about driving to Hopatcong, but my builder and kitchen designer both recommended Vinnie strongly. Sure enough, compared to closer places, the stone selection and sales help were amazing. The pricing was reasonable. The turnaround time was half that of the competition, which was crucial since so much of the kitchen install was rate-limited by the stone. Vinny’s crews were professional and great! We love our counters! 2) My mother-in-law in Pennsylvania decided to move from her 55+ community after almost 20 years, a major life decision, a ton of work and a lot of stress. Between signing and closing, a worker left a leaking food container on the kitchen granite that left an indelible black ring. My mother-in-law’s buyers wanted a credit for replacing the counters or they wouldn’t close. The realtors’ handyman tried to remove the stain but couldn’t. The original granite installer had no solution but to replace the counters, which would also involve removing backsplash and almost a whole new kitchen. Vinnie, Vanessa and Valerie, none of whom had anything to do with the original install, got right on the case. Vinnie came from Hopatcong to Pennsylvania, evaluated the stain and formulated a special chemical poultice that he said with repeated treatments over three weeks would remove the stain. After the three treatments, it worked! The stain was gone! The charge, $200! The closing went through, three weeks late, but without a credit for new countertops. We will use Vinnie for everything to do with...
Read moreI am deeply saddened and disappointed by my recent experience with Stone by Vincenzo. He had come highly recommended by family members and my contractor. We chose our stone several weeks ago, but when it came time to cut the stone suddenly there wasn’t enough of it?? They told us we had to order a whole new slab! Which was going to cost nearly $1000 more than the original quoted price!!! When I went to inspect the remnant that we had chosen to see what the confusion was, it was absolutely clear that the stone they were showing me was not the original remnant that I had chosen. I had pictures to prove it. Someone clearly made a mistake. No big deal. Mistakes happen. All I wanted was for them to own up to the mistake, purchase a new slab for us and charge us the original remnant price. That would have been the right thing to do because if their clear error, but Vincenzo refused. I ended up taking my business elsewhere and I will never recommend them. In business, integrity means everything and Vincenzo clearly has none. Do not trust this business!
Wow! Even the response is a lie. NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE ever called or told me once that our remnant was being used for another project. I repeatedly told the owner’s daughter that we were not sure yet about the backsplash and other pieces, but we would get back to her, which I did! Of course the square footage increased… I’m talking about the price per square foot. I just want the original price per square foot that was promised to me. And please stop talking to my contractor. I’m the one who pays the bills - call me! Talk to me. Return my calls. Come out to talk to me when I drive all the way...
Read moreWe were recommended Stone by Vincenzo by our contractor and fellow neighbors who’ve used this business before! We mainly worked with Valerie who has been an integral part to our planning including estimates, on-site appointments for measurements and installation and more. We installed countertops for the kitchen and fireplace.
The kitchen was a very straight forward install (quartzite and granite) for our 11’ island, perimeter and beverage counter. Our fireplace (granite) however, not so much as we were dealing with multiple contractors in order to complete this entirely (stone contractor, fireplace contractor, and general contractor). Vincenzo has been great to work with and can tell that he takes so much pride in his business and work that if there is something wrong that we noticed, he was willing to work with us to fix it. We’re so pleased with the workmanship that he and his staff have, respect, and kindness. The staff that he has onsite to draft the specs are extremely courteous and pays close attention to detail.
We love this family owned business and are so grateful that we picked them to do business with. Highly...
