Jericho Market — Local services in Jericho

The young people that work at this store are lovely, friendly and helpful. I find it difficult to get manager approval for alcohol at self check out with out waiting a bit. Tonight I went to the store with 20 minutes to pick up a few items, plenty of time but but had to wait twice for someone to approve me at self check out. Then as I was headed out the door struggling to carry my bags a male employee (my contemporary, I'm 56) was texting on his phone waiting for me to leave, commented that the store closes at 8pm, it was 8:01...as he unlocked the door to let me out. That's probably the last time I shop there...no help, no thanks for shopping, depressing vibes all around. It's ok... the produce is almost always not worth the price and being a vegetarian that is a bummer. Too bad it is the closest market to my home, I will look for other local options...

I just spent $7 on local greens. The first package I grabbed looked terrible. The second one didn’t seem to look as bad but when I got home I discovered most of it was wilted and slimy. About 2/3’s was bad. While I was grabbing my greens I commented to my family member about the poor condition of the kale. ALL of it was limp and wilted. It’s really disappointing because over the past many years I have stopped there, the produce is hit or miss. I do appreciate the selection and choices they have for other items in the store, but it’s a shame no one is taking better care to put out fresh produce that...

I WOULD have only given one star but I heard you could screen this out so nobody else could see it. But your prices are WAY too high and the checkout person was really rude! I use my EBT card for the groceries and was told I could NOT use it for cold prepared food when I can use it at any other store for cold prepared food 🥑! I have a bad hip and I HAD to hobble out to my car just to get $4.36 to pay for it! Why do YOU not take an EBT card for cold prepared food and ALL of the other stores do! I'm VERY dissatisfied with the way your store is run and I will NEVER go...
