Boat Launch — Local services in Jersey City

Without a doubt the filthiest boat launch Ive ever had to use anywhere. At least they recently rebuilt the docks which is a mojor improvement from what they were a few years ago. Make sure you bring a gallon of water to rinse off your hands and feet if you end up going in the water. There is so much garbage and the water tends to be horribly contaminated even with the tide changes here.

Once you launch its no big deal a 100 yards away, but then again the harbor is pretty filthy in general. This is one of those spots a lot of the waste...

The goal was to get to the Statue of Liberty, which we did but the access and ramp leading us out to the boat launch has no signage... we could only hope we were headed in the right direction and went back to ask and...

As a guide based in Manhattan, I visit here often after taking kayakers and paddle boarders to view the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It looks like well-maintained boat ramp, though I believe there is a fee...
