Listen to the warnings of the others. This "bargain" is not worth it. Cruising out of Bayonne in mid-October, we arrived at what we assumed was the lot (given the complete lack of signage), only to have a man tell us that we couldn't park there because of a "gas leak". Instead, he instructed us to drive to the lot just next to it and we would be able to park there. Upon entering this parking lot (and using the words parking lot is quite an exaggeration, being more like a mud pit), a man driving a beat up Maserati all around the small lot pointed and shouted at us from his car, telling us where to park. With it drizzling, no bus in sight to take us to the port, and not wanting to stand and wait in the mud with our luggage, we waited in our car. Within minutes, we were parked in by another customer, tractor trailers on either side and a fence behind us. Unless those trucks moved while we were on our cruise, upon our return there would be no getting out of the lot until the car in front of us was gone. We were parked in on all four sides. Probably realizing he had an even bigger problem on his hands, "Maserati Man" then had each of us move our car to a different spot. There was clearly no plan in place for what to do with all of these cars. All the while, more and more cars are pulling in, needing to find a spot. Within minutes, Maserati Man yelled at them to go find parking elsewhere; he was filled to capacity. People were yelling, "But I paid you!" to which he just yelled back to submit for a refund. Looking at one of the other reviewers, I suspect they were one of those needing a refund, and as you can see, there was no refund issued. He had their money. As chaos was breaking out in the lot, the bus arrived. Happy we got a spot to park our car, we got on the bus and figured we were the lucky ones who didn't have to find new parking. Once in the bus we learned that there was no gas leak; Maserati Man had gotten into a physical fight with a business partner of the first lot. The smashed up Maserati was a result of the fight. Truly, you can't make it up! There was no gas leak - he was no longer allowed to park cars in the lot after the fight. Thinking this was just going to be a humorous story to tell after the trip, it didn't end there. We returned from our cruise to find that OUR CAR HAD BEEN TOWED by the parking company! Obviously a lot more transpired while we were on our cruise, and all indications are that we were told to park our car in a lot that Maserati Man wasn't supposed to be parking cars. Not happy with being towed, and certainly not seeing how it was towed, we requested a refund or at the very least, a discount. Nope! But heck, those who didn't even get to park didn't get a refund. Why would I think that I might? Don't give this company your money, nor an advance payment that you will never get back if...
Read moreThe price is good, but the service is very poor! The parking lot is a gravel lot without an actual address so finding it was a challenge to begin with. Upon arrival the person running the office trailer couldn’t be bothered to actually stand up he just shouted from his chair on the porch to show him my phone with the email confirmation open. We were then told to just drive out back and park anywhere. Upon return to the cruise port, the bus was not there to bring us to our car so we called as did a few other passengers. We were all told varied stories from almost three to it will be a little while for the bus to arrive. Then about 15 minutes later a guy pulls up to a few of us and says the bus is broke down and we would all need to find our own transportation to our cars. When asked how that would be paid for, he said he would reimburse us all, then he proceeded to drive off. Us along with several others found transportation over to our cars and we paid out of pocket for the trip. The same guy was sitting in his car behind the office trailer and couldn’t be bothered to get out and talk to customers. A few went over to him to ask for reimbursement and he said everyone would need to call him after 10 am when the banks opened in order to get any reimbursement. Of course this was only 7:30 am so that was a long wait. For us when we called the same guy said he can only reimburse using Zelle of which I do not have an account. He said he would have to call us back, and of course he never did. The worst part was there were three vans for transportation in the same lot as our cars but he said they were all broken down too. WARNING: This service could damage your vehicle and leave you stranded.
I chose Park N Sail to save $50 on cruise parking, but it ended up being a costly mistake in time, stress, and vehicle damage risk.
Parking Conditions: The "parking lot" is essentially an unpaved area with mud, grass, and minimal gravel. There are no proper parking spaces or paved surfaces. Upon returning from our cruise, our vehicle was sitting in a mud puddle that we had to carefully navigate to avoid getting stuck.
Poor Communication and Directions: Staff provided incorrect shuttle pickup locations, leaving passengers waiting in the wrong spot for over an hour until another customer corrected the misinformation. The lack of clear signage and proper directions created unnecessary confusion and delays.
Inadequate Transportation: Only ONE shuttle van services all customers, resulting in wait times EXCEEDING one hour for return trips. This completely negates any time savings you might expect from off-site parking. We ended up taking a taxi.
Unprofessional Service: Customer service is virtually non-existent. Phone calls go straight to an unsetup voicemail system. When staff do answer, communication is poor and unprofessional.
Better Alternatives: The cruise terminal's official parking is worth the extra $50 for the convenience, security, and peace of mind. You'll save time and avoid potential vehicle damage.Bottom Line: What seemed like a budget-friendly option turned into a stressful experience. I hope this review helps others make a more...
