I brought my grandparents here and we were delighted to meet Peggy who gave us a mini tour and told us fun facts about the place. This is a great place to make a quick stop at to learn about the park and its inhabitants. There’s activities available so it’s great for kids. We got lil souvenirs in our visit so we can cherish this memory forever. 100% will return. Btw it was free entry!

Friendly employees at the nature center, clean a/c bathrooms, a few fish tanks and much more. Ample parking lot across the road from the center. It is a convenient starting point to explore trails and boardwalk around South Cove. Beautiful views of Manhattan, Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty.

Awesome nature center in the middle of Liberty State Park. Building by famous architect Michael Graves (1934-2015), beautifully restored with beautiful and informative exhibits. Located amid great wetland surroundings with lovely trails.

Friendly staff and very clean space. Super well maintained. Next to beautiful open green space at liberty state park. Awesome, screen free kid’s room with plenty of books, toys, and puzzles for all ages. Can’t wait for night show to reopen. Love those. I brought my 13 month old here and she was comfortable walking around. What a gem! Would love to participate in some of their planned activities like nature...

Recently rebuilt after storm damage. The facility is very nice and well kept. There are rooms for exhibits and conferences. There are some nice displays of water fowl and fish. One tank with native live fish. Also a large map of the estuary and descriptions of native habitat. Educational for young kids and adults. Free parking...
