School wasn't the best. Bullying always went over their heads, just like any other school. They were only for their athletes and didn't care about their academically successful students. All you got as recognition in this school was your name in the newspaper. Athletes got rewards and recognitions. Athletes also got over on everything here. The Senior advisors for the class of 2023 sucked. Never did anything to stimulate the class of 2023. Very rarely did they do much as advisors. The only good thing about this school are some of their teachers. Even their lunch declined after COVID. Overall, Jim Thorpe was not a great school district. They also didn't even study the names of the students graduating in 2023. They butchered many of their names. As a great achievement, graduating should have been taken more seriously, not a last minute thing where you can't even pronounce the names of the students graduating. I wouldn't recommend...

Everyone that I have had to deal with within Jim Thorpe SD, even Jim Thorpe, is not proficient at what they do, what they are responsible for. Transportation director does not run the buses and vans efficiently, nor effectively. She doesn't know routes but insists on making them herself with no consideration given to better route options. For her, it is about benefitting Jim Thorpe residents and not about common sense. I have noticed this same sort of behavior from other departments and even the youth organizations as well. Mediocre on a good day. 2 if my children are products of jtasd. Just like every other School district around here, there's plenty of nepotism and some of the staff are bullies behich is ironic. All in all the jtasd is about the employee's and officials and not really about the students or education. Kinda sad...
