This HFT store is never stocked and is NOT customer friendly! From the first step in the door, the tone is set for your trip. Now I know stores like this are more geared towards men and I'm a girl that likes to be friendly, but never once have I been greeted or welcomed into the store upon arrival. And you enter right by the registers, so I know they see me. Anyways. I went for a simple rock tumbler and they were all on sale, SCORE!, so I upgraded to the bigger one. The tumbler works great, but when it was time to get supplies for it, good luck! The stocking of the store is so inconsistent, most of the time what I need isn't there, but sometimes you get lucky and they have an abundance. Sometimes they NEVER have the item in stock. And heaven forbid you ask one of the associates or managers if they are aware when what you need might be back in stock. I got a look that could kill from one of the managers after I asked her for help and information. I did get information on one of my visits as to when restock arrives, but after visiting both the day of and day after, I still didn't get what I needed. Bottom line, it would have been nice for them to either special order it for me (I would be glad to prepay) or make sure it was coming in on the next order. And on one visit I went in looking for a plain ole staple gun. No air, no hoses, no fancy, just a hand held staple gun. Looked up and down every aisle then passed a couple of associates while I was looking lost and they continued their personal conversation without offering any help. I then waited in line and asked the young male cashier, who proceeded to flat out tell me he had no idea if they had them or not. I don't know why I keep trying at this store, it's always a let down and...
Read moreI am giving three stars for the bad. These are not the best tools, duh right, that's a no brainer. I get it, but the good is, you can get cheap stuff for small projects. Painting, basic tools, hammer, pliers, ect. (Their Pittsburgh brand is lifetime) ya just bring it in and get ya another one. Simple enough. I have not had any trouble out of their small power equipment (jigsaw, sander, grinder) as of yet. Their "Masterdrill" brand does lack in the power, but for my grinder it doesn't need to be crazy powerful, I just use it for sharpening the lawn mower blades. And get their app off Google play (if ya got android of course) it has the 20% coupon always and the free gift coupon. I always save a little bit every time and you can always use and extra flashlight or tarp, bungee cords...whatever they have on the app. Its worth...
Read moreBest deal on tools. Never had a tool break unless I abused it. Sure, they're not a tough as big name brands, but if you're like me, your not going to be using the tools like a contractor, day after day. You'll use them for several projects over the years. Also, there are interesting tools that DIY-ers will love to work on small electronics, or glueing projects. When I visit, I almost always find something I didn't know I needed, like a laser temperature gun that I use frequently to check how hot my skillet or grill is to cook perfect pancakes or to get those griddle marks on my hamburgers and steaks. I also love my magnetic parts holder for when I'm taking something apart and I don't want to lose any of the tiny screws. Their magnetic tool holder is powerful and can be used to securely hold...
