This is the first time I attended this restaurant, I heard from many that the food was great. Upon arriving, I noticed first off how clean the restaurant was, with an ultra modern feel, I was greeted shortly after and asked where I would like to sit, I requested a booth but was told I would be waiting awhile because there was only one waitress for that section, I didn't mind. Upon seating, I noticed they were playing jazz music, which was very fitting for the atmosphere. Even though the decor was very safe, it also seemed to fit the atmosphere, everything was safely in place, I liked it. I ordered and after awhile I recieved my food. I had the house soup, (chicken broth with a mushroom in it), and a house salad with ranch dressing, the ranch seemed to have an added "smokiness" to it, I Iiked it. Shortly after, I recieved my hibachi shrimp dish, the shrimp had what I would call a crunchy boiled texture with a grilled shrimp taste, this, I wasn't too sure about, but then it had been years since Ihad a dish similar to this so really can't remember the texter too well. The taste of food is subjective, the texture of food is subjective, one might think the shrimp was crunchy whereas the other might think the shrimp was tender and meat like, to me, the shrimp could have been better. I had the fried rice with my dish, and wasn't too sure about it eith, the rice was very tender on the ouside, but someshat uncooked on the inside,it was very sticky, I was not used to this, but overall the food was good, would i go there again? Yes, I think so, overall I enjoyed my visit and the service was...
Read moreTakeout service is an A+. Dine-in service is an A. My husband and I dined in for the very first time not long ago. The sushi is always good, and it was the same dining in. We normally always order takeout, hints why I said that. The appetizer was great. The waitress was super sweet, and she kept complementing my makeup several times (which made me feel extremely good about myself). My only issue was that when it came time to serve us our dinner, my $35 plate of Japanese food was barely warm. I had not eaten a single bite all day (except for the little bit of sushi I had and a bite of our appetizer) and was starving. I wanted to save room to eat a majority of my meal, and so that's why I ate very little in the beginning. I was so hungry that I didn't even bother complaining. The shrimp sauce comes out cold, and it is thick in consistency. I couldn't even use it because when I tried mixing it in my food, it was creating clumps because of the cold rice. I ordered lobster, shrimp, and streak. Everything had a wonderful flavor. The shrimp sauce was all that I expected, and the meat was great, but you get very little meat! We will be back, but if this happens...
Read moreThe Cowboy roll was good. We ordered Tonkotsu ramen and found out it only comes with cabbage and chicken as topping. It seems like the chashu ramen is the only one that comes with all the typical ramen toppings. Didn’t catch that you can choose the broth of it. The fried rice was not “Japanese” fried rice, it was just a general fried rice you can get at Asian fusion places. Tempura was very good! But was shocked and disappointed that it comes with yum yum sauce instead of tentsuyu. The miso soup was on the salty side, and the ginger dressing on the salad seemed very watery.
I was hoping for Truly Authentic Japanese restaurant, the type that’s owned by Japanese and chefs are Japanese kind of deal. Saw the menu online, got super excited, came in with very high expectations. Unfortunately this place kind of just missed the mark in many aspects. It was not bad overall as a place that serves Japanese cuisine. Would like to give it...
