I arrived at 1 pm. I was sent to the ER by my surgeon. I had surgery on June 2. I went for an MRI and blood patch. MRI was finished by 4:15 pm and the reports came shortly after. I waited in the bay for FIVE hours until the ER doctor came back to in just to tell me that Anesthesia had DECLINED to do the BP even though my surgeon sent me there explicitly for the procedure. They said I needed conservative treatment even though I was 17 days post op and had already had conservative treatment for that entire time. And the icing on the cake is that they wanted to admit me as an inpatient. I told the ER doctor that was not going to happen as I had not prepared for that, did not understand the reason for it or for continued conservative treatment, and that I came there for an outpatient procedure that was requested by my physician which that had already declined to perform. He said Anesthesia would come down and speak with me. Who knows how many hours I would have continued to wait. I told him no need since he said they unequivocally declined to perform the BP and that hospital admission was unnecessary and not happening. I was very angry by that point. I waited a few minutes more and decided to be discharged. (As an aside, one of my nurses told me directly that they were not going to help the ER doctor contact Anesthesia because they didn’t want to, that he ā€œneeded toā€ and that he was already having difficulty doing so. Not very professional and this may have contributed to the 5 hour wait for their response.) I strongly believe that anesthesia wanted to admit me so that they could do the BP at their convenience and not 9:15 pm. I think the following morning I would had miraculously finally had enough conservative treatment that the BP could go ahead. Considering I was unable to be admitted, I could only be discharged. If that was their game it is unprofessional to inconvenience the patient in that manner. Also I had told several nurses that I had not had any food or drink except one cup of coffee early that morning. One ignored my comment and a different one brought me a cup of water. I wanted action not waiting unnecessarily and I had finally had enough. I went to the bathroom and asked the two ladies outside the bay if they could get my discharge papers ready. They said ā€œwe’re insurance, we don’t know anything about that.ā€ So I asked if they could send the nurse to my bay. They said he was with another patient, nothing more. I said can you send him when he comes out or do I need to press the alert button? They agreed to send him to my bay. Not sure what transpired while I was in the bathroom but when I came out I heard one on the phone with security saying ā€œdo NOT open the doors unless she signs ā€œunintelligibleā€. She has an IV.ā€ I suppose their duties DO extend beyond ā€œinsuranceā€. I was pretty sure they were speaking about me although I was not sure why. Maybe they thought I wasn’t going to the bathroom but had instead was trying to leave the building? Although there was clearly frustration in my voice, I never said or gave any indication that I was leaving without discharge and calling security was insulting. I returned to my bay door. I tried to speak to the ā€œinsuranceā€ person who had just hung up the phone but she intentionally ignored me, keeping her head down and turned away from me. The nurse quickly returned to the bay weirdly holding papers behind his back. When he dramatically revealed the papers they weren’t for a discharge but AMA. He never gave me the option to wait for a formal discharge. He said sign this which says you are leaving AMA. And that signing did not mean I couldn’t be readmitted to the ER or hospital. I started to protest but by that point I was extremely aggravated with everyone there and considering I wasn’t going to have the BP procedure for which I came, I decided just to sign and leave. Overall experience sucked.

The star is for the radiology staff. They were fantastic! I had a very long MRI and they were kind and...

Aaron Scott Hathcock PA-C was probably one of the least compassionate healthcare workers I’ve ever came across. He was accusatory, dogmatic, and lacked any empathy or any kind when talking to me about a PREGNANCY. I had tested positive on a pregnancy test Friday 11/22/24 at Urgent Care. I wasn’t directed where to go previous to my arrival, just ā€œthe hospital,ā€ so I went to the OBGYN and scheduled an appointment there. I did not receive the proper guidance or direction on where to go, so I missed the appointment in the ER and scheduled another one in the wrong location. Because I missed this ultrasound and appointment, I lacked information on how far along I was, what condition my body was in. I was honestly incredibly scared for my health. The lack of communication in this facility was deterring. On Wednesday 11/27/24, I went back to my PCP and discussed what happened. She explained to me that there should not have been as much confusion as there was and sent me back to the correct location. When I arrived to the ER, I explained to the first nurse who’s name was also Savannah, that I had a positive pregnancy test and I had started spotting, which then became more like clotting, and that I was in a lot of pain. She asked me how far along I was, and I told her I did not know because this was my first ultrasound and blood test. She was not an issue at all. After I had my blood drawn and urine sample taken, Aaron Hathcock came in. He walked in and I could immediately tell something was wrong by the way he carried himself, so I prepared myself to hear the worst. He then continued to tell me that ā€œsince you didn’t show up to your appointment Friday… I have no data to go back off of.ā€ Which was incredibly insensitive on his part, because he obviously had no idea what I had gone through already. I don’t know if he thought that over explaining HCG levels in pregnancy was going to make me feel more educated on the subject or what, but generally I was told that he had no idea what was wrong with me, if I were even pregnant in the first place, and to prepare to be told I was having a miscarriage. He also asked me if this was my first pregnancy, and it wasn’t. He automatically assumed, ā€œThen you have one child.ā€ I had to TALK OVER HIM, and tell him ā€œNo. I had a miscarriage when I was a teenager.ā€ What healthcare worker just assumes this stuff about people?! He was talking to me like he knew me and my situation, and like he sees this all the time. What patient of any kind wants to be talked to like this?! When I had my ultrasound done, the tech was incredibly kind. She made me and my partner feel a lot more comfortable and talked to us like we were family. Turns out, I had a cyst on my right ovary that felt like it was rupturing. I was in the ER for vaginal bleeding and cramping and still have no idea if it ruptured or not. They discharged me after he told me, again, he had no idea if I were pregnant to begin with or not, that my HCG levels were too low to be pregnant, and that since I missed my appointment, in his POV, he had no data to run off of. All I was told to do was follow up with my PCP. Keep in mind, I did show up to the OBGYN and I still have an ultrasound appointment scheduled there for December 26th. I went home and did the research for myself. Ovarian cysts can cause false positive pregnancy tests and I’ve been taking ibuprofen ever since. An insanely traumatic experience on my end with little to no compassion on his. Especially after having a miscarriage when I was a teenager and expecting a miracle. He told me he has this conversation ONCE A DAY. If there are women being treated like this ONCE A DAY, there has to be something done about it. There was absolutely no justification in how he spoke to me and my partner. It left us both heartbroken, grieving, I am still in a ton of pain, and this absolutely should not be ā€œjust another conversation.ā€ I’ve gone through reviews and seen have others have been affected by his careless behavior and...

If I could I would give this visit a DOUBLE F. It was the worst experience that we've ever had at an ER and her room wasn't much better. My mom and I arrived at @ 4:30 - 4:45. They took her back about 5 min later to the first part of the ER to check her heart. That took about 10 min. After they they sent her to a 2nd patience waiting room. She set there until around 8:30 before they finally took her back to the ER room 19. I don't know what time the first DR came in. But I'm guessing it was around 10pm or so. The Dr said that all of her test came back normal but she was going to call a cardiologist and see what they thought about her heart rate dropping to the low to mid 40s. The Dr NEVER came back to talk to her. Another DR I think he said he was the drug Dr came in @ 11:30. He told us that they were going to admit her to the hospital. We never saw or heard from him again. At @ 1 I was standing at the edge of the curtain some tall husky guy walked by a couple of time and asked me if I needed anything kinda with an attitude. I told him that we were waiting for her to get moved to a room. He told me at that time that they had no rooms but didn't tell me anything else. Finally around 2 a nurse came in and told her that she had to stay there until around 8am for a Dr to come in. The man that was setting at the desk outside of her room was very helpful on getting her covers when she was cold. That is the only positive thing that I can say. He was the one that I talked to to find out that she was going to stay in that room until around 8. NO ONE offered to get her anything to drink or even eat. I went out to to vending machine to get chip's and bottled water to give her something. Her ER room was NOT cleaned before she was put into the room 19. There was stuff on floor and still IV bags in trash. She told me they did finally move her to a private room 4212 around 4:30. When I arrived a little after 10 she told she was setting in a chair and had a small cup with water that they brought her to take her medication and nothing else to drink for the time that she was at the hospital. They gave her a sheet to cover up and not a blanket to keep warm. They didn't even offer her a wash cloth or towels to clean up. Her room was also dirty pictures are attached. WE felt like her care didn't really matter to anyone. I'm guessing that the 12hrs that she was in ER they spent maybe 30 min. with her the whole time. No one really communicated...
