Muffler Man — Local services in Jonesfield Township

I have been to this Muffler Man twice in the last few weeks. Both times the customer service was absolute crap. This Al guy is definitely not someone that should be running the counter.

The first time I was there, he estimated 15 minutes before he could look at it. That's fine. However, he went right out and looked at the next three people that drove in after us and didn't get to ours until 45 minutes later. He said the whole exhaust was dry rotted and needed to be replaced, which was a load of crap. There were a couple spots that could have been easily welded up for way less than we were charged for the job.

The second time, I was just having two used tires put on rims. His estimated time of delivery was two hours. Six hours later, we went back and the tires hadn't been touched yet. We stood there for at least ten minutes before our existence was even acknowledged. Even then we weren't approached at all. Nothing about sorry it took so long and/or we are getting to those now, etc. He just told one of the workers to get started on them. We were only planning on taking one of the old tires back. He made us take both because "We don't take used tires". Well, where did the used tires that he put on come from then? Also, I told the guy that we were missing a valve stem cap. He gave us a crappy attitude and said there wasn't one there to begin with, which there was. Whether there was or not, is a $.2 cap really that big of a deal. Just throw it on there. When I brought up the poor customer service to Al, all he said (repeatedly) is "It's not that big of a deal is it?".

I know that I will never return to this place, nor recommend it...

I have had exhaust work done here for years. I’ve referred several others here as well. I called on Friday 3/19 and asked about having my exhaust manifolds replaced. I was told I could drop the truck off on Sunday 3/21 and it would be done by the weekend. I called on Monday to make sure the keys were received and all was good. Today, Wednesday 3/24 I was told by the shop that they don’t do the manifolds any longer. I will never again use this shop and will never refer another person here. How...

Al mis-quoted the repair work on my 2000 Honda Passport. Called to tell me it was going to be more, because he looked in "the book" and it was a much harder job than he thought. Kept the vehicle over night, did not do the drivers side. Wanted to charge me the full price, began to scream and use profanity when I told him I was not paying for work he didn't do.
