We visited Saucedo Asadero on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 1 pm, and sat outdoors under a covered patio. The weather was warm and breezy, perfect for enjoying a meal.
Reservations: make one. While we made an online reservation 3 hours before, it took about 15 minutes to be seated.
Valet Parking: the location is on a one way street, so packed we parked down the street
Food: Porterhouse Steak ($60): Flavorful and well-seasoned, but thinner than I expected for the price. Came with beans and nopal. Served on a cutting board—very authentic touch.
Ribeye: Melt-in-your-mouth tender, seasoned well. My wife chose stir-fry vegetables and beans.
Oysters: Small portion, plain, served with lime but no chili sauce or salt.
Tortillas: they are homemade and so good. I don't know if it was meal specific or tablespecific but they only came in portions of three
Chips and Salsa: The salsa had a perfect balance, not to hot just right. The chips were a bit stale, what a waste for and bad combination for the delicious salsa
Drinks: Unfortunately no Alcohol. Desipite there being a photo of a man which states otherwise. They did however have a Delicious Pepino Drink and a mouthwatering Cantaritos drink, which hit the spot.
Service could use some improvement. This place needs a beverage menu. I saw people drinking or eating out of coconuts, we only ordered Cantaritos because my wife saw someone else with one and was curious. The staff seemed busy, and no one came to check in after we ordered. The waiter who took our order, never came back to see if we wanted anything else, he left an additional $60 in missed sales at the table by not doing this, as a matter of fact we never saw our waiter at all after we ordered, someone else brought our bill, only after a gentlemen came to ask if we were done so they could clear our plates.
This place was like a dry beer garden meets a food vendor meets a Ranch.
All in all it was a great first time experience. A group of horse riders came in on the premises which added to the ambiance and the experience as one of the riders made the horse dance to the music the...
Read moreThe scenery and the place is beautiful. Horse was gorgeous.. the smell of the food was great. The dining area is beautiful, if you’re into nature and outdoor dining. Just visually appealing. But the service was all the way bad. We had to ask for our drinks about 5 times. They brought us the wrong drinks. We had to remind them of our appetizer (guacamole) I want to say it was really good but we had been seated for about an hour and a half when we finally got our drinks and appetizer, so we were starving by then. (We traveled so we were very much hungry) we explained our order situation to our waiter he clearly did not care. We kept asking how long the food was going to take with no clear answer from our waiter. So we asked a waitress for help. She seemed overwhelmed, embarrassed , & kept telling us she would get our waiter over. When he finally did come back his attitude was at 100. So after about 2 hours of waiting we finally decided to leave. We paid $250 for a flight of margaritas (3flavors which were just horrible) ,4 shots, the guacamole, and 6 beers. They tried charging us a gratuity with that but we said no thank you. We didn’t mind paying for the parking until after the fact of our troubles. It is a beautiful place with potential, I would suggest as soon as you get there to place your orders! Then walk around. So by the time you take your family pics and enjoy the scene/horses you can sit down and eat. Don’t expect to get your appetizer and drinks like at any other restaurant. They will not get there. Maybe take a water bottle with you especially if you take your children. There was one waiter wearing a black shirt he was the only one with happy customers. I would suggest you look out to be waited on by him. He was on it. Everyone else looked completely lost , inexperienced, & just rude considering what we expect as consumers to get as far as customer service goes. Lots of angry people walking out .. hope they get it right. The...
Read moreThe absolute worst service my family and I had received in years. I would absolutely avoid this place until there is new management. We were one of the many (over 10 groups) of families with reservations made both online and over the phone and we were never attended. I cannot even tell you which reservation to try and make because even their staff was invalidating everyone's and saying all these groups were not on their list. For those curious of the online seating options do not even bother the location is much smaller than described and if you ask the staff they are unable to explain it. Over the phone they told us that was the only way to have a valid reservation and once we arrived neither our online nor phone reservation was to be found. My greatest frustration was the lack of accountability for their poor service. Many of us were asking for management and all the staff could us is they are no where to be found. We waited close to an hour past our reservation with no sign of ever being helped. We met families who had reservations shortly after opening time and they were not even seated nor being accommodated for due to the inconvenience. We did thank the staff who tried to help us because they seemed overwhelmed with work and angry customers. Even those customers we saw seated did not get their first drink until we almost left and we never even saw what the food looked like. To the staff being overworked and overwhelmed by the lack of leadership thank you for trying to help us. Unfortunately I have no desire to attempt to eat here anymore. Good luck to those who will still try it, may you have better...
