Justin Ace-66 Hardware — Local services in Justin

Bought a 10 pack of led 60 watt bulbs to update some of our interior lighting. Bought a similar pack earlier in the month with no problems. Found I had one bad bulb in the pack. Took it back within 2 hrs of my purchase with the intention of getting a replacement. Not a good idea. Person behind the counter was more than helpful but when he checked with the Mgr he was told to find a comparable bulb from the smallest pack available, which turned out was either a 10 pack from the same manufacturer or an Ace 4 pack, both which seemed to be an unsatisfactory alternative. When I mentioned that from experience the Ace equivalent would not work in all of our fixtures, you would of thought the earth spun off it’s axis. Rather than just give me a $ 0.70 bulb and send me on my way, it became one person’s mission to disprove my claim that the Ace bulb wouldn’t work whereupon he brought a bulb base up to the counter and proved to me both bulbs could be screwed equally well into the receptacle. When I replied that was great but the Ace bulb still wouldn’t fit into our garage door opener at home as I had a 4 pack of Ace bulbs I bought sometime ago but couldn’t use, he promptly took off for somewhere in the back, I assume to find another receptacle that would prove me wrong. I finally gave up and left as I had other commitments. Felt sorry for the person behind the register as he tried his best but it wasn’t worth the hassle. I have lived in Justin for 30 years and was ecstatic the day Ace came to town. I try to but every piece of hardware I need from this store but today made me feel like I walked into one of their big box competitors. Guess I didn’t notice the manufacturer’s disclaimer on the box, “10 bulbs, 9 may work”. Very disappointing and certainly not typical of...

Not my normal location. Let me start out by saying Ace is my go to place. I love our local start in Rhome. But it was not in the direction I was going so I decide to stop by the Justin location. I saw they were having 75% plants and seeds. So of course I had to pick up some. So I didn't know the compost outside so I flagged down a worker I assumed was the manager he confirmed where the compost was and instructed me to go to the cashier and request it she would ring me up and drive over to the side of the building and someone would load it up. But I went to the cashier She seemed pretty annoyed NOT as helpful as the Rhome store. She rang up the plants and got the binder rang up the compost. The price seemed a little high with plants being 75% off so I mentioned the sale. She informed me that sale was over. Which there was no date on the sign on the door. Then I hear the other employee said she is right the sign is up. And the cashier in loud voice says " Well they need to come down because that isn't right." With an attitude to the other employee. I'm not sure if he even heard her. But as a customer I felt like I truly inconvenience her. I would have gladly paid full price if she had some good customer service but she was rude. Anyways I drove over to get my compost no one came out to help so I grabbed my 2 bags I paid for and left. I will probably just stick to the Rhome store where everyone is so nice and seems to...

On August 12, 2025, at 7:50 PM, I walked into Ace Hardware just as they were about to close. Most places would have turned me away, but not this team. They didn’t just let me in—they welcomed me with genuine smiles and treated me like family.

I came in to buy a grill, and every single employee jumped into action. They pointed me in the right direction, explained exactly what each grill could do, and gave me a complete rundown in record time. Their knowledge was impressive, and their willingness to help, even when the store was closing, was unmatched.

Once I found the perfect grill, they personally brought it to the counter, made checkout quick and easy, and then carried it out to my truck with care. The entire staff—every single one—was polite, generous, and dedicated to making sure I had the best possible experience.

This wasn’t just customer service. This was world-class hospitality. I left with more than just a grill; I left feeling like I had been taken care of by friends.
