Everything is easy to find but do a little research on products in-store on a smartphone if you aren't familiar with the products. High quality produce is really affordable here and they have lots of unique items. You can find all types of lentils (daahl) and rice, and many ready-made frozen Indian food items, including many different samosas (including pizza flavored) and everything from dosas and idalis to Malaysian parhatas and paneer curries. This is a good place to get henna, neem, sandalwood, and any other natural products: they're all boxed and packaged as powders, which you can mix with water or almond oil to make a hair or face mask or scrub. You can find some vegan products here, and you can find MANY flavors of eggless ice cream here along with kulfis and other desserts. If you like sodas they don't have very many but they have the authentic Indian cream soda (the green one by Pakota) and the original Indian sodas like Thumbs Up. They make fresh snacks almost daily and box them to be sold in the front as you walk in. There is an assortment of chocolates (all the European brands as well as tons of Cadbury) and many cookies with various fillings (pineapple, mango, strawberry, cashew cream, orange, as well as vanilla and chocolate). They have tons of extracts (vanilla, strawberry, banana, pineapple, kewra, mango, everything you may ever need to bake or cook) available as well as soaps, incense,...
Read moreWent in on Sunday to ask about a missing item from grocery shopping day before. We had asked for saffron on the prior shopping trip, and the cashier had suggested the smallest 1gm pack which we agreed to. On unpacking our groceries at home, the saffron was missing. So stopped by next day to ask about it - have done this many times at dozens of other establishments with no issues. The cashier at Vishala (short, older guy) refused to remember the sale from previous day. The other cashier looked up his system and said there was no sale rung up the previous day. I just didn't have the patience to debate it and asked them to ring the purchase again. Left a bad taste for $3.99 and we are regular customers. Not sure I want to shop here again.
Update Nov 7: Decided to give the place one more try today. Had a better experience and learned something new...if you ask the helper for produce, they can bring fresher items from inside...upgrading my...
Read moreOne stop shop for all your Indian grocery needs. A decently sized grocery store with aisles properly labeled and packed with all types of food products.
This grocery store does it’s purpose when it comes to buying Indian fresh produce and snacks, together with dairy, grains and frozen foods. They have a small takeout area for snacks and some fresh curries which I throughly enjoy every time I visit this place.
The prices are decently priced here but I’d recommend you’ll to check the expiration dates when buying packaged foods. The store owners are respectful and very helpful if you need help finding something. There’s a big parking lot outside so you’re covered. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking to buy Indian groceries and some delicious, fresh, hot...
