Have been to this place plenty times throughout the years always a good time. Took my wife, niece and father in law today. Amazing how one bitter employee can ruin the whole experience. Blonde girl with tattoos and glasses. I think Kim was her name. She was unbelievably rude and ripped us off. Upon checking in 1st thing she said is, "we can change anything", as we were not sure how long we wanted to bowl. She gave us the shoes & said "we don't have socks and we'd have to purchase them" and she said "hurry up because the clock already started for us". I said okay never mind we are not going to bowl. She replied "I'm not going to refund you". What happened to we can change anything? So my father in law bought socks and we had to stay and bowl because she wasn't going to refund us. What she did was criminal and her attitude was terrible from the get go. The establishment should remove her asap before she ruins their reputation. One of the most inappropriate things she said was and I quote "you are ruining your daughter's day right now" as she pressed that the clock was ticking and she would not refund my cc that she had literally just processed. She is the antithesis of aloha. The young braddah working next to her was really nice and looked at me apologetically. Put...
Read moreKauai Bowl is one of the few places on Kauai where you can have a fun night out with your family. They have 20 lanes for bowling, an arcade, a pro shop, a bar, and a restaurant. You can bowl either per game or by the hour. The bar was pretty empty, and the food at the restaurant was a bit pricey and not worth the hype. We tried the hamburger, pizza, teriyaki fries, cheese sticks, and flatbread, and the fried pickles were the best part. The pro shop was closed, so I can’t give it a proper review. They have a strict no-outside-drink or food policy, which is a bit crazy. When we walked in with a thermos flask full of water to refill a baby bottle, we were stopped by the front desk staff and told it wasn’t allowed. We asked if we needed to pour out the water, and they said that an empty flask still couldn’t be brought in because of their policy. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there’s definitely room for...
Read moreHow you feel about this place depends on if you are a local or a visitor. For locals, it's the only bowling on the island. They have a disco night, host birthday parties, offer pool and food... It's good to be the only gig going. With so little entertainment of this kind available, it's hard not to have some fond feelings for this place.
If you're a visitor, you'll feel differently. The faculty is old, and it shows. The equipment is bygone era black and white scoring computers that dont always do their job. Some lanes have frequent jams. The place isn't the cleanest, but if you love to bowl... it's the...
