If you are wanting laser hair removal - stay away! I had gone to the DATC for a few facials and liked those and so I inquired about the laser hair removal services. I was quoted as a perfect candidate who would need the typical 6-9 sessions, when I would go they said everything was great and I would only need a few more. I ended up doing 11 sessions and they would've kept booking me except I pushed back and I was moving away from the area so it didn't make sense for me to continue going. After two months or so I noticed hair coming back and so I reached out to the DATC and they said that it was just a me problem and my hormones and that I would need a touch up even though my last appointment was only just over two months ago? I have spoken to a few instructors since and have not been impressed with the service and they haven't made an effort to make it right. Make sure you get copies of the contracts you sign because if you're not able to go in and physically get them yourself, they WILL not get them to you. Not to mention the scheduling is so hard to do because you cannot book in advance most of the time. They also will not call you to let you know if they have opened their books yet, so you have to call every few days in order to TRY to get an appointment. Combine that with some of their receptionists are not very nice and your appointments don't generally start on time either so... Please safe yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. I promise you'll have a better experience and you'll save...
Read moreMy daughter asked for an inch to be cut from her hair; due to the student who cut it unevenly and did a “dry cut”, her hair is three inches shorter and uneven. The student also did not wash or style her hair.
Upon calling the school, I spoke with Marley (sp), who oversees the school. She asked what she could do to make it “right”, and I offered a suggestion of having an instructor even out my daughter’s hair, wash and style it. That was not an acceptable solution for Marley, as “instructors aren’t there to cut hair and they can’t wash or style.” I understand this is a school, and as someone who has worked in academic medicine, I appreciate and respect the learning aspect. As a consumer, I do not understand the lack of customer service from Davis Tech Salon and Spa. We were left with no solution, and a definite “sour taste”...
Read moreIn the past I've gone to the DTC for waxing, hair cuts, or pedicures. I had good experiences and even though the students were still learning they were professional and did a great job. I haven't been in a few yrs so I went back for a pedicure with my daughter. I was disappointed. The pedicure price was the same as a regular salon, but the experience was not. The students that worked with us were kind and professional, but other students were running around yelling conversations back and forth, the salon chairs were broken, and my gel nails came off in a week. Not worth the $40 per person I paid. Next time I'll go to a...
