So, trailer town is, in my opinion, the worst place to obtain a trailer and I suggest that you go somewhere else to save you the problems that I have had with this company and are still not resolved. Here is why; I purchased a trailer on a rent to own basis Jan 4th of 2021, I didn't need it at the time but wanted to be prepared for my work season to start, so rent to own instead of forking out 5,000 in a lump sum sounded like a good deal, I was very wrong when dealing with this company. I'll leave out the details of fees that are charged. It appeared to be a nice trailer, it was covered in snow at the time, I was told it was new. There is evidence that I have found to the contrary; miss-matched bolts on the jack, the d rings are rusting already and have indentions consistent with chain marks (I've never used a chain on the d rings). Not a big deal but if it was new like I was told by Chris while in the lot, it should not have those problems unless Iron Bull trailers are poorly manufactured. Which brings me to my real issue, after the snow had melted around the 16th or so of Jan 2021, I noticed that both ramps were damaged. One is dented in and the other appears to have never been welded to the point that it does not function as "rampage" ramps should. So, I called Chris and talked with her and she had Terrance, their mechanic look at the picture I sent and he believed that it was a manufacturing problem because the black powder coat was visible and was not welded, which should be covered by the warranty. Chris said that new ramps were being made and would ship in a few weeks. I checked back after a few weeks and was told there were none delivered yet, give it another week. So, over the course of the past months I have called to check on the status periodically just like any person that was promised corrective action would do. Now, fast forward to middle to to end of March 2021. I called as usual and was given the usual run around as I had been getting for over 2 months of; "they are being built". " we haven't seen them. "We are suppose to get a shipment next week". Etc. While on this phone call with Chris, still trying to get the replacement ramps and wondering why it's taking so long, a male voice in the back ground that I could identify as either the owner, manager or someone special, yelling, " bye Benny" multiple times in what seemed to be an attempt to hurry her off the phone, while I'm trying to talk to Chris about the issue with ramps and the replacements and a realistic time line after waiting over 2 months. The guy in the back ground was so interruptive I asked Chris to tell who ever is yelling "bye Benny" to tell them to f-off so we can talk, the phone call got no where and no answers due to the yelling guy in the back ground, we ended our call with Chris saying she would call when she heard something, still to this day I have not heard a status. It gets more interesting, the guy that is the owner or manager or whatever he is that was yelling in the back ground called and demanded an apology for telling him to f-off. I told him I would as soon as he apologized for acting like a child in the back ground of my previous phone call with Chris. He then went on to tell me that I was "just another rent to own like we get all the time".(which that would mean people like me keep your doors open). He told me I was wasting Chris's time when I call to check on the status. He then said, "good luck getting your ramps". I ended the call by saying, "you have a nice day". I have not heard from anyone since then. So, in summary, customer service is horrible and obviously dont care about customers that he said he gets all the time and also appears not to care what is sold off that lot due to his lack of customer service and lack of selling a good product and lack of fixing the problem with the product in question. My suggestion to anyone looking for a trailer, go literally anywhere else besides trailer town. If anyone doubts this review, I'm pretty sure that there are recordings of the phone calls. Seriously, go...
Read moreThe owner, Aaron, is a LIAR and DECEITFUL! Good luck getting your title. Paid for my trailer when I got it. Start doing paper work, they verify my cashiers check, give me a receipt, title application and say to wait 2 weeks for the title to come in the mail. It has now been 4 weeks, the temp tag on the trailer expires after tomorrow and I'll owe a penalty on titling. Every time I've called them over the past 2 weeks, their response has been "We mailed it," and "Give it a few more days." Or I can pay another $100 for a duplicate title. They can't even prove they mailed the first one! I would never buy anything from here again nor recommend them to anyone I know. Posted on 01JUL2021.
Update: After posting, Trailer Town called to inquire if I had received the title yet. Told them I had not. They first offered to cover half the cost of ordering a duplicate. Told them that I was not spending anymore to get something that I should have received when I paid for the trailer. That I was filling a Form 4683 Missouri Department of Revenue Complaint and letting the DOR decide what coarse of action would be needed. I was then told that they may be able to cover the full cost of the duplicate, but not the late fee that I will owe the license bureau or the cost of fuel required to drive the hour (one way) to pick it up. When asked what I wanted them to do, I just replied that I would continue on with what I had planned and they would more than likely hear from somebody. I would like to note that Jorge (Trailer Town Agent) has been courteous in tone and words. My compliant is with the company and how they have done business with me.
Update 2: I actually got my title (MCO) on 10 July 2021, 37 days after I had paid for the trailer when I picked it up. Kicker is, the title I received was the ORIGINAL! THEY NEVER MAILED IT! However, they sure did keep asking for another $100 to order a "duplicate." The owner Aaron is a liar and won't reimburse me for my penalty with the license bureau. The reason for not getting my title in time was never because of COVID, it was because of a LAZY, DECEITFUL, and PITIFUL business owner. I truely feel sorry for the people that work for him and the other customers who have had issues with him.
Pictured are the envelope that the title came in and a copy of the title. Notice there is no DUPLICATE stamped on it, and it is dated 4 MAY 2021 (when it was printed).
Update 3: It has been three years since buying my trailer from this deceitful company, and hopefully, the employee that told me the information about my title (MCO) has found employment with a better boss/owner. The reason my title was never mailed to me on time was because it was "lost" in Aaron's truck and only after being "encouraged" by said employee to check did he find it. (I was also told that this was not the first time that this had occurred.) He has never apologized to me, and his response to this review was written after I wrote my first update. AARON IS A THIEF AND A LIAR who doesn't deserve anyone's hard...
Read moreAVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Spend the extra money and find a different dealer!! Customer service is horrendous. Bought a â21 Iron Bull dump trailer. On our way to the job site the bolts sheared off the RR wheel (trailer empty see phots). Husband attempted to repair on the side of the road, but was unable to. Husband called and spoke with Kris told her the situation and that we were having the trailer towed there. Trailer arrived Thursday just before close. Called The following Tuesday to check status, Kris said that the mechanic hadnât even begun to work on it. OK fine, so we did bring it in unannounced, itâs extremely cold and we didnât necessarily need to use it so I just let it go. Called up on Thursday, itâs been 7 days, and now they tell me that they didnât receive any pictures and that since another dealer (my husband) attempted to repair it voided the warranty. WHAT!?! I was never told to send any pictures! So after an extremely rude conversation with Kris, the mechanic, and another gentleman (another salesman? Donât really know he never introduced himself only threw in the occasional snarky comment) I was done and hung up. I was on hold with the corporate office in TN when my husband beeped in, said that for $20 they would get the bolts but they would not do the repair. We would either have to take it somewhere or fix it ourselves in the parking lot. Husband arrived there this morning, everyone was extremely hostile, paid for the bolts and proceeded to fix the wheel in their parking lot. The temperature has now risen to a balmy -1 and my husband finds not only is the RR tire off and FLAT but the LR tire was off as well. So instead of 1 tire he now has to put 2 back on. 2 hours later (literally arrived at 9.15 and left parking lot at 11) finally on the road, out our $150 tow bill and $20 for bolts. SEE...
