Bought a cooler from John at Ice Chest a good while back. It was exceptional, sounded better than I ever thought it would and worked great for both floating the river and pool parties. Plenty of ppl ask questions mostly Bc they wonder who would put 4 holes in a Yeti, but when they hear and see its still fully functional as a cooler they’re just in awe. I was too lazy to write a review the first time around but what really has impressed me enough to do it is the customer service. A few months ago my cooler started going out, i suspected the battery. It was way past the warranty but i figured I’d Just replace it myself or get it done at a marine audio shop. I called John at ice chest simply to get his opinion on what I thought was the issue. He agreed with me but to my surprise said “just ship it to me and I’ll check it out and take care of it and ship it back to you” I was both surprised and relieved and when I got my cooler back just a couple weeks later, it was better than new. THAT’S customer service and that’s what this company gives you. Any reviews you see about communication, that shop stays busy man so just call more than once a day or email as well. Everything started out great but quickly went south!!
The unit I received had speakers falling out as well as an interior cracked Insert. After the first use the sub quit working and smelled of burned wires.
After SEVERAL attempts to speak with John about replacing. Which he said he was going to send another one multiple times. He eventually quit responding. I had all the proof I needed to dispute the charge and get my money back, thankfully!!
Keep in mind that this was over the course of several months. There was plenty of time to make this right but he chose not to do so.
I’d be more than happy to post the conversation too. Being that, the pictures of the conversation is what essentially got the funds returned to me. That’s how bad this experience was!!!

John is now messaging me on Facebook. And proceeds to call me names in his I’ll attempts to belittle me. He tried to destroy anyone that leaves a negative review. Too little too late bud. Let this be a lesson in customer service! Treat every customer as if they are your only one!

Read moreOrdered a radio cooler about 2 months ago. When i received it they decided to put different speakers then what i purchased with out asking. I took it out 1 weekend and it worked great. I took it back home and plugged it in. After a day or 2 nothing. I contacted them and he said he would send a better charger and tracking info. Well 2 weeks later nothing. I have been calling and sending messages through the Live Chat and nothing. Website says they stand behind the product but that is not true. $500 cooler that is worthless. Terrible customer service. Next only option is to go to the credit card company and get this charged back. I would not recommend doing business with them. UPDATED REVIEW After several months of being told the cooler is shipped or is shipping out today still nothing. I have asked to just issue a refund and nothing. If you do not want to take a risk on losing out on a few hundred $ DO NOT PURCHASE ONE OF THESE!!! He says he stands behind his warranty which is total B.S. Once he has the money he goes MIA or just gives you bogus stories hoping you...
