I wish Google had negative stars as this location would certainly be deserving of them. To the Crane Group, Mr. Goldsmith and everyone else in corporate this location needs to have a thorough investigation. We dropped off our babies on 12/22/18, upon check in I advised of their feeding schedules as well as dosage of the med for 1 of our dogs. I requested they be bathed and one of them trimmed as late as possible on Sunday 12/23 for pick up at 9:00 AM on 12/24. We arrived promptly at 9:00 only to be told it would be another hour as they had not received services requested. I asked why, groomers response "Oh we were told that you weren't coming until 12" completely incorrect. Both of them slept the majority of the 3 hour ride home. We get home and both of them immediately went to the water bowls, completely normal. Although what we were concerned with is the amount of water they drank. It was at least 5 large bowls within an hour. Were they not given water? I definitely know they were not fed all of their meals. As I unpacked their bag our 5 month old baby was not fed 1 of his AM meals and our 9 y.o. baby was not fed 2 of her PM meals or given one night of treats. The 9 y.o. had 7 pills in the bottle I provided. She gets one in the AM and one in the PM. There should have been 3 pills left in the bottle, no there were 2. Thankfully it's not a med that could have killed her. As soon as I stopped shaking enough to hold the phone from my discovery of them not being fed etc. I called and advised of the aforementioned to the manager. She stated did you put the dates on the bags, I said no yet they are clearly labeled w/ their names and AM and PM. She asked me if the pills were counted upon arrival I advised yes and there were 7 in the bottle. She asked if they were counted on the way out, I advised no, my husband was handed their bag and off we went. She advised that she needed to check feeding schedules, video recordings etc and would call back. She did her due diligence, checked feeding schedules, reviewed video recordings etc only to tell me that they did NOT do anything correctly other than keep a roof over our dogs heads for 2 nights. The 5 month old slept, with the exception of a couple potty breaks, from the time we got home until 6 the next morning 12/25. We noticed the next morning that he was limping and not putting weight on his back left leg. Like I said he slept so much that we didn't notice the limp. As of now I'm going to see how he is the rest of the day, should he wake tomorrow w/ the limp he will be taken to the Vet. I can assure you that I will have the Vet send the bill to Pet Paradise as he was perfectly healthy w/out injury when dropped off. Our once happy, healthy, jumping, running around, chasing balls, like 5 month old puppies do has done nothing other than be completely lethargic and sleep, has no interest in playing, obviously because he is injured. I am absolutely appalled, shocked, disgusted and all other negative adjectives that can be used by the level of care our babies did NOT receive. Please, if you love your babies I urge you to AVOID this facility at all costs.
I would be very grateful if a manager from Corporate would contact me. I emailed them this same review advising to reach out. I provided a better email address than my gmail as I rarely check...
Read moreLet me first start by saying ,this place only got one star because I couldn't write anything without marking. This place does not deserve a half star. I dropped my puppy to Pet Paradise in Kenner La and I must say It was a mistake doing so. The first time my puppy stayed he did regular boarding, where I could only view what was happening when they went to the play yard. He came back to me really really aggressive, barking and growling at my son The next time my puppy stayed I paid for the most expensive room because there was a camera inside and I could watch him. This allowed me to see more of what was happening. The first day my puppy had been there over 4 hours ,outside two times and was not given water once. I called and spoke with someone they said all rooms had a water source in them and that they would go in to make sure my 3 month old puppy knew how to use it. I watched video for over an hour and still nothing . I called back and spoke with the manager ,who was very rude might I say. She said the room I was paying for has bowls of water in there. I told her my dog did not have a bowl of water in there. She said she would go in and check. I watched video and saw where they then put 2 bowls of water in there . That was only one of the problems. Another problem was them assuring me that my puppy would follow his eating of 3 times a day, when I asked them about it after having seen on the camera my dog was being fed 2 times a day the manager said she would accommodate his eating schedule just this visit but not future. I understand every dog does not eat 3 times a day but having a puppy that is how some are fed. If this business can only accommodate larger pets when it comes to eat or needing less attention than puppies than they should not accept people with puppy's money. Because of this experience I had to change my flight and come back early to get my puppy a day early . When picking him up ,they only returned 1 bag of food to me. I am guessing they wanted to show me they were feeding him as he should have but where they screwed up was ,my puppy was suppose to stay another day so if you are showing me there is no food left and I would not have picked him up. What would he have eaten that last day? I guess they wanted to show me that they were feeding him how they should have been ,but all they showed me was the fact that honesty is not apart of their policy because returning one bag to me says my 4lb 3 month old puppy was fed 5 times a day. As annoyed as I am with what I had to pay a night I am happy I did because the times they said my puppy was fed I was able to screenshot him not eating ,looking very sad and miserable across a cot. This was the worse experience ever and I would never recommend no one leave their puppy at this...
Read moreOur Labrador has been coming to daycare at Pet Paradise 5 days a week since July 2014 and he has loved every moment there.
They have a spacious facility near the airport for maximum traveling convenience that offers plenty of room for 250 dogs to sleep, run and play. Each dog has their own suite with an inside area to nap and a small outside area so they have constant access to a bathroom. They take turns running around in the large play area in back and the staff is great about pairing dogs with others that suit their size and temperament. Our dog is a big fan of their in-ground pool where he loves to jump in and make a big splash!
Is your furry creature of the feline sort? No worries because Pet Paradise also has a great cat room far away from the dogs in the front with a window to the outside and the lobby. Each cat gets its own tower with privacy to use the litter box and a big window to look out to the common cat area. Cats take turns lounging in the common area which is full of toys, scratching posts and two large cats trees. Staff often go in to make sure all cats are doing well and getting enough attention.
We cannot say enough positive things about the staff at Pet Paradise! From the manager, Cheri, to each front desk and play coordinator, they genuinely care about the well being of each animal and do a great job communicating with pet parents. There is also a staff member on location 24/7 in case of emergencies so you can rest assured that your pet is always safe.
I also want to add that Pet Paradise gives back to the community in a big way. Every time a natural disaster hit the gulf coast last summer, they collected food and other items for the animal shelters that were affected. When Florida residents had to evacuate, they were ready to accept theirs pets at a discounted rate in case their evacuation destination did not allow pets. On top of all the other things that I love about this resort, I can honestly say that they are good people and I feel good about giving...
