Winn-Dixie — Local services in Kenner

Please be advised; this place has the worst tasting pre- cooked BBQ ribs in the city, but as a whole, it does have a clean environment, well stocked shelves with a wide range of select food products and other needed items. The carry out, hot meals at the deli counter appease's the eye and but the majority of the carry out meal items are not title/ labeled. Therefore, you may not know what you are purchasing from that department, and that's one of the known horrors at this featured super market. Another horror of this establishment is the check-out area: O'my gosh, yes the check out areas. (Picture this), it's a Saturday afternoon, the grocery store is crowded; there are estimatively, 1 to 9 check out iles but only two or three of them are actually open for checking out customers. Ooo' my gosh, that is so nerve rattling to a massive amount of the grocery store customer's. One would think that the security department, viewing this on their security camera, screen would alert management of such a massive amount of people lined up in each of the two to three lenghty lines, needing to be serviced for departure. And would also encourage management to open additional check out areas in order to move the long, lines of people through the check out area much quicker and more...

Man 😞 I really hate giving this review but I feel I must. Went in to buy a few things. Of course I did, that's what you do at a grocery store. Passed by the wings while shopping. I thought maybe I'll grab me a few of them on the way out. Well I stopped to get (] all you can fit into this container. I thought sounds like a damn good deal, I'm going to fit all of them in here. Well did not get them all but got a good bit. Checked out, on the way home popped the Wings open. Well this sucks their kind of funny tasting. Got home tried another bite had three different flavors. Whoa that one didn't taste too good either. Well at this point it was obvious I was not going to eat them are give them to anybody. I did give some to the dog. " He didn't eat them either ". All went into the trash. Now I'm sure this is only one isolated incident hope it never happened again. But had to put a review in case it did happen again. Somebody might read this. .Sorry no pictures of them. But for the record, they didn't look bad at all. Actually they looks good. I even tried to eat another damn one after the two that didn't taste good. ...

Its been a long time since I've visited a Winn Dixie. In fact, I wasn't even sure this chain still existed. How I miss my local Breaux Bridge Winn Dixie—only, it wasn't this great! My husband and I went on a late nite ice cream run. Winn Dixie is right down the road from our hotel. And, wow! We were both impressed. Friendly, helpful staff. Super clean! The bakery department is fabulous...so many lovely desserts. This store also has an amazing deli. The jambalaya and flavored wings were delicious. The macaroni and cheese looked good, as did most everything. Or, maybe I was hungry. Either way, I thought this store deserved five stars. This is how grocery stores should be. Found our ice cream...and so much more.

Oh, yeah! I forgot...the deli offers sushi spring rolls. Was going to get some last night but changed my mind. After reviewing, I do think I'm headed to Winn Dixie for those yummy-lookin spring rolls. Yep!
