Dollar General — Local services in Kerens

Their AC is broken and has been since July 2025. It is MISERABLE here! These poor employees! They’re worked to the bone already for a store owner who many have never ever seen step foot in this store to fix ANYTHING. They had two registers which they desperately needed with the amount of business they get here. But they converted one of them a long time ago maybe 2 years now into a self checkout and then shut it off due to stealing. Shame on my neighbors for that one. BUT the owner has never set it back up to a normal register which is so desperately needed. At least once a week I come in and walk right back out because the line is 10 people deep on the single working register. How dare they make these employees work in Texas July to now August heat with no ac for weeks and weeks! Shameful owner who...

I really like this store. And the employees are very nice. But I noticed on the Montego cigarettes they ring up at 4.99. I get that they can't change the price when ringing them up. The price in front of those cigarettes says 4.80. I told the lady about it and she got a little loud saying she can't change the price that is the Managers job. And that no one has complained they just pay the price. I told her well I am complaining and if nothing else take the numbers in front of them off. Price changes should match what it rings up. Or it's called False Advertisement.... I will be watching my receipts real close when shopping here from now on.... Also Not cool to Argue with...

It was alright. My only problem is when we pull up to the store, workers right outside the door Smoking. It stinks real bad, and I fill this should never happen, not only our store in Kerens but most of the other stores. This is why We drive 33 miles to Wal Mart a to shop.
