Vogel Chevrolet — Local services in Kiel

I had brought my truck into Vogel to have the blower motor replaced. Long story short they put in an aftermarket part and the plug was loose on it. This was overlooked I believe and my heat went out again. I had to pay another place to have them put in the motorcraft part. My truck is a ford and motorcraft is there brand. Not an aftermarket part! You would think they would be able to tell during install all I had to do was pull on the plug and I knew something was wrong. They put it in! I've tried dealing with vogel to get the labor costs and to return the part that wont even work in my vehicle. They will not take back electronic parts. It's a blower motor, it seems more like a mechanical part to me but whatever. They said it was a whole new issue that would have to be diagnosed again. They tried blaming bad roads as to why the plug from the wiring harness sat loosely in the blower motor or that a mouse had gotten in my vehicle and damaged it. There were no teeth marks from a mouse and I dont believe any road no matter how bad would ruin a plug on the inside of a vehicle. I had also had a brake inspection done at the same time to get an estimate on how bad my brakes were because I hadn't changed the pads in years and I had a pulsing when I had to brake hard. They came back and told me everything was fine. The pulsing is still there and I'll have to pay again to find out if they were wrong. I went to them before and was happy with their work but I think the guy who worked on vehicle didn't care to do a good job and they dont care enough to make it right with a paying customer. I seriously will give them not only a 5 star rating, but a 100 star ratiting and an overall rating of 1,000% as well! Their absolutely wonderful employees are what made my experienced the best ever! Salesman Kevin is hands down the most honest, accommodating and friendly sales person ever and on the paper end, Tara was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and helpful to the extent of jumping out her office chair and come outside to help me with some of the functions that I as yet have not been able to adjust, when I stopped in the next day! I called to have some work done on my vehicle. I was told I would be able to have a loaner car for the weekend while my vehicle was being worked on, however Vogel had given away all their loaner vehicles in the time between when I called and when my appointment was (2 days apart). Luckily I had a different vehicle at home to use while mine was being worked on but I was less than impressed with their communication. I expected the bill to be higher than most repair shops as vogel is a certified dealership but I felt like I was overcharged for what work was done to my vehicle. Almost 3/4 of my total bill was due to labor. I understand it takes time to properly repair a vehicle but some of this seemed excessive to me. Overall, I wouldn’t go back to this service center unless I was in a pinch.
