This wine festival was a complete disappointment and disaster. Unfortunately, I stupidly purchased the VIP tickets for my wife's birthday at $75 each because it was supposed to offer hors d'oeuvres with the wine tasting. The additional $35 per person for the VIP tickets provided us with grocery store-bought stale bread rolls, some mac and cheese served in a cup the size of a quarter, some popcorn, and some cheese that was cut into cubes the size of an eraser head on the end of a pencil. No meat whatsoever and no real substantive food anywhere to be found. It was a total joke for the additional over inflated price. Quite frankly I was disgusted with the entire event in the first five minutes of walking into the VIP area. I don't mind paying extra money for VIP tickets, but when the additional $70 spent gets you nothing in return, it is hugely frustrating. I felt like we were totally scammed in purchasing the upgraded VIP tickets. The entire Ohio Vintage Wine Festival committee should be ashamed of themselves for the pitiful food that was served in the VIP area. Also, most of the wine we sampled at the event quite frankly sucked. Furthermore, why does every festival have to have window, roof, and gutter vendors scattered all over the festival grounds. If I want to buy new windows, I will go to the Home Show. This was a wine festival, not a Home Depot festival. How about some vendors that are actually associated with all things wine? Between two VIP tickets and tax, I spent $153 on a miserable experience. The weather was perfect and the grounds were fantastic, but the actual event was a flop. Will never return to the Ohio Vintage Wine Festival as long as I live.

Read moreIn typical fashion, the 2017 Vintage Ohio Wine Festival was a great event. Despite a few spots of rain here and there on Friday, the good number of wineries, eateries, and vendors present made up for it.
The layout was well planned with the wine tasting tents mixed among the craft vendors and eateries. Tables and chairs were provided in abundance and were available everywhere.
Nice to see that a number of Canton area wineries were among the wineries offering tastes of their delicious wines. Also got to taste wine from wineries further away reflecting western and southern Ohio vintages. They were all awesome and we left with a good selection of wine to take home.
The food that was available was delicious. The crab cakes and BBQ were to die for. And those mini-donuts? Yum!
Already have next year's festival on...
Read moreAttended festival on Saturday August 5, 2023, I am sorry to write such a bad review for this years festival. I have always enjoyed them in the past. Compaired to previous years this time there were more food, jwelery, crafts tent etc. then wineires. Wineries that were listed on the website as participating, several were not there. Also there was the All That Glitters tasting tents, but the wines from these tents was not avaiable to buy. (The wines were not sold out, they simply were not available). So what was the point? My friends and I take turns buying the tickets every year and were so happy when the festival started back up after COVID. This year was truly a disapointment. At this time we do not know if we will...
