I have been trying so hard to like this post office but everytime I have gone they have been nothing but rude and unhelpful. I am here all summer staying at my boyfriends moms house and they won't deliver mail to her house because the mailbox need to be "raised 2 inches, a little closer to the street, and painted" ....funny thing is its right by the road and a car already knocked down the entire mailbox one night...but they want it even CLOSER to the road. Anyways, since they refuse to deliver mail into the mailbox, I have to drive 1 mile down the road to the post office to pick up my mail. The ladies have always given me a hard time and give me a horrible attitude every time I come in. The gentleman working one day was the most helpful and kind hearted I have encountered, and I wish he was the only one who worked there. He told me there was a box with our address on it, and they would hold the mail there for 9-10 days before sending back and to just call ahead to make sure its there. Only problem with calling ahead is that theres always an hour+ wait...so I just go in. I went in today and the lady working the desk who never wants to help me said "there's nothing in there". I had tracking in my hand, and it had only been sitting there for 3 days (4 if you count Sunday but they're closed). So my first day off of work (Monday) I go in , and she said "Oh yeah, we already sent that back return to sender" I was so confused & tried to explain it JUST arrived why would they send it back so quick? She didn't have an answer for me she said "I didn't ask" and went on to help the next customer. This is the SECOND time I have had my DOCTOR from Florida send mail to me over here. The first time they sent it back, so I asked him to please send it certified mail. This time it was sent certified mail but they didn't even hold it for 3 days! Absolutely ridiculous, now I have to wait another 3-4 weeks for something that should have been delivered a month ago. I also lost a package that they "returned to sender" and when I contacted the company they were "Sold out" so I never got it. No one cares or wants to help the customers at this location, I have never experienced such poor customer service and next time I am going to speak to a supervisor because this is absolutely ridiculous and something needs to be done. Who treats their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad to make a special trip to the PO after the new mail person picked up a envelope out of my mailbox that was placed just 15 minutes prior. No stamp, no address just an envelope with my name on it. I asked for it to be returned after I was reprimanded for using my mailbox in such a fashion. I was told that I would have to pay postage to have it returned "Cause thats how we make our money". So after waiting for my turn at the counter I asked for the envelope and was asked my name and gave her my name and it matched what was on the envelope, she said she couldn't give it to me with seeing some ID. How many people go to the PO to pick up an envelope that was just handed to you not even 5 minutes earlier and give the correct name and tell you the contents, you have to bust them for ID too. Then get the oh so grateful "you can't do that with the mailbox" speech again. Customer service classes would go a long way to improving the 'service' at the post office. This isn't the first time I have had an issue with the PO and it's lovely employees but I will now go out of my way to avoid using this post office at all. Nothing but rude and snarky...
