Abbies Cigars — Local services in Knightdale

Today on February 25, 2019 at 7:56 respectively I was asked to leave Abbie smoke shop the reason being the shopkeeper or maybe owner believe that I was a spy from another tobacco place. I don’t understand why. I answered his questions I made comments in regards to the items nothing disrespectful nothing rude I did mention I have gone to other places as soon as I did that he was on guard. I stepped away went to the other location realize the other location was closed came back to see if I would pick up anything and was asked to leave when I told him the other establishment was closed. The ironic part of the whole situation was the fact that he was asking me the brands at the other store carried and I didn’t remember but I told him I wouldn’t have a problem telling him about it after I pick them up. Mr. Miles was very unprofessional for assuming that I was a spy. Not only that I feel embarrassed and humiliated by the situation I will never step foot in that establishment unless I have somebody else with me in order to prevent there being any issues. I will be calling one of the managers or the Better Business Bureau because that type of behavior is really unacceptable especially for somebody who is just being cordial. After reading so many reviews about how great this place was I wonder if there was any other reason why I was asked to leave. Being that paranoid about shoppers is pretty ridiculous and will lose you many customers. This is a true family owned business. It’s just a father, mother and a son. I’ve not met the father, but the other two are incredibly personable, kind, and outgoing. I bought a humidor from them, and I simply could not get the humidity to the correct level. I called and they said to bring it in and they would “season” it and get it fixed. I dropped it off and can’t wait to get it back fully functional. Because it is taking longer than possible, they gave me a free cigar! I find that to be both a nice gesture and excellent customer service. Also, these guys know their stuff. I mean it. They are extremely knowledgeable about cigars, pipes, humidors and pipe tobacco. Despite having to wait to get my humidor back, I am taken aback by this store. They also have glass pipes, bubblers, etc, for whatever you smoke. I highly recommend this tobacco shop. I'm not one to leave a review after one visit to a cigar lounge because anything can happen on any given day. But I've frequented Abbie's for two months now and my visits have been consistently phenomenal! From the decor, to the vibe...from the comfort to the workers...it's an awesome place to hang out. The cigar selection is great. There's always complementary coffee. And the seating is luxurious and comfortable even for a big guy. There's always easy-going music playing in the background and a couple TVs playing for entertainment. The ventilation is on point for such a large space. And there's space enough to have a conversation without interference from other patrons. Abbie's can have my business for as long as I'm here...a first...
