I called spoke with maybel to setup a 8am appointment with trudie. I was told trudie will be there. The next day I arrive at 8am and instead of trudie the rude stylist I encountered 4 months ago was there. Now I'm angry because I was lied to but I'm about to head out of town so I gave her another chance. The communication was going good hair was looking good. Then It's time to pay and I give $100 cash and the stylist says no it's $120. I said oh ok well I'm going to have to pay $20 on my card because I pulled out exactly $100 from the atm. So I asked was there a recent price change and in a nasty way she says no it's always been $120 I've done your hair before. I said yea this is my third time here and I always paid $100. Maybel comes into the conversation and says yea it's $120. I'm like ladies I can show my bank statement from may 18th and you will see $100 debited from sensational beauty. Last two times I've been here I got soft dread and the stylist go oh we do charge $100 for that some time. Maybel goes $100 is fine now she know for the next time. I will never step foot in this place again. Two bad experiences and I was lied to. I can't believe maybel allows her stylist to talk to customers this way, this is the second time I encountered this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience was approximately (2) years ago (give or take a year or two) lol Let me start with how helpful the gentleman behind the counter was (There was another dude who was absent from manners and the English language, or at least thatās what his rudeness had me to believe)but there was something about everything else that made his mere existence unimportant. I mean really....... Everyone else was pleasant and helpful. (Even the conversation was good) Now back to the handsome, helpful gentleman that was behind the counter.
He quickly disappeared for Prayer (I later found out he was the owner) and he had his talented and beautiful daughter further assist me. Let me hurry and get to the chase...... I havenāt returned to this establishment till now because being new to NC and from the country I had no clue where I was. I found them.... THANK GOODNESS!!! Iāll update my review next week sometime. I canāt wait (Iām actually excited) Hope theyāre still there. I want his daughter to do my hair, I want to get some products... Hell, I may even buy some hair. Calling in the morning.. I was a faithful customer there until i was told they couldnāt give me two braids ( cornrows) so of course i went somewhere else. Not long after, i took my daughter there to get her hair braided ( which i had braids in that they did not do) and ever since then they have treated me differently! I go and get my hair braided wherever i wanna go! So as soon as i noticed their attitudes changed towards me i made up my mine they will never get another dollar from me! Donāt treat me nice & then switch up! Iām good! Itās plenty of braiding shops in the Raleigh area & Iāll take my money there! I donāt support businesses that treat their customers like...
