My wife (who is PA Dutch) and I were in Joseph, OR for business and as I was talking to a contractor I met in Joseph, he asked me if I was from PA. He said he picked up my accent because his wife was from PA. I told him I was and had moved from PA to the West coast in 2007. He told me I had to stop by Kauffman's for their Lebanon bologna and farmers cheese. He said his wife loves the store. Read moreWhat an interesting place. The food is great and there's many different kinds of products you can buy. Went to a community welcoming and had lunch. We had hot dogs, home made noodles in chicken broth and home made cinnamon rolls. They also had coffee and water and it was all free. One of the best hot dogs I've ever had and the noodles were awesome. Lots of Christmas type candy for sale and they have gift packs of Amish popcorn. There's also an upstairs with more to buy. They also have an amazing amount of jams and honey. They have really good sandwiches and pie. In our group of 10 or 11 we ordered a wide variety of items and we had zero complaints.
