Goblin Collectibles — Local services in La Porte

Really bummed, I was super excited to check out this place because it’s local, and has mtg as I’m a collector and player.

I was out running errands and saw that they open at noon. No biggy, -I’ll show up early and wait. That’s what I did, I showed up about 10 min before opening and saw an employee go in and begin to open the store. I didn’t want to go in yet, as not to be rude bc I knew some tasks had to be done to make the store ready for the day.

At 12:01 I approached the door, it was still locked. I knocked on the door, got no answer. I figured no sweat, maybe the employee is in the back taking care of some things before opening. I attempted to call, but no one answered. Again, no big deal, -stuff happens. I went to my car to wait.

I went back to the door at 12:10, door was still locked, I knocked again and received no answer. I called, again. Again I didn’t get an answer on the phone. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to wait another 10 minutes for them to maybe open, so I left.

This place seems really awesome and I’m hoping that this experience doesn’t reflect their business as I would love to come back and give it another shot. Maybe next time I’ll just show up a few hours after opening to make sure they’re...

I’ve been shopping/playing at this shop for 6 or so months. I can’t say enough great things. The owners and employees are friendly and helpful. They’ve made accommodations for us many times. Their level of care is amazing.

They have multiple nights of Magic the Gathering. They do launch nights for new sets. They sell packs and singles. They take trades. Just a full service experience.

They also stock Warhammer 40K items. If they don’t have it in stock, they will order it for you. I’ve done this many times with them.

They also stock many other card games, D&D products, dice, comics, etc….

I’m really happy to have them in Laporte. Definitely 5...

I had the pleasure of meeting the store owner a few months ago and was happy to see their passion for tabletop gaming. They have an impressive selection of figurines, game accessories, and just about anything you could need for tabletop games. Their inventory includes a vast collection of Magic: The Gathering cards, and if I recall correctly, Yu-Gi-Oh! cards as well.

Additionally, Goblin Games offers multiple rooms available for reservation, making it a great spot for game nights and events. The store has a welcoming atmosphere, and it’s clear that they are dedicated to the gaming community.
