Castle Comics and Games — Local services in Lafayette

This is a classic style nerd hole comic shop. Ambivalent staff, poor layout, uninviting appearance.

There are a lot of things to peruse and buy, from tons of comics, new and old, random board games new and old, multiple editions of various RPG's, and a selection of dubiously curated miniatures games with partial lines from about a dozen various systems. (They had Chronopia figs, nib on the shelf, for FULL RETAIL PRICE. Chronopia has been out of print for almost 20 years.)

And it's all done in such a way to indicate the worst design flaws of the flea market style of stores.

You can however score a sweet sun faded Lars Umläut Guitar Hero action figure for 30% off, so that's a thing.

They may have an amazing subscription service. The owners may be wonderful human beings. They may know the name of every repeat customer. I don't know. I hope they do. That kind of stuff builds a loyal and enduring customer base.

Very friendly staff! The store has tons of comics, miniatures and cards. The boardgame selection is unique and even some vintage games can be found. All of these items are listed at very fair pricing as well. The staff has excellent knowledge in all fields of products they sell. I have played in many types of card events and miniatures events here and have been pleased with almost every event I have participated in, from event management, prize support and overall enjoyment. The only unpleasant factor can be the event space. During bigger events this can be a small issue, as it makes it a bit hard to move around. In all, I would definitely recommend both purchasing your games/comics here as well as playing them here. I've been coming to this store for a few years now. I'm into magic the gathering. I haven't been able to come for Friday night magic due to me being a father of 3 kids. I have brought my kids into this store a few times while I was looking at cards to buy. The little old lady here is awsome i love her to death. She gave my daughter some my little pony cards the first time I brought her in. I was just in last week and was looking for sleeves and deck boxes for my neice for her birthday. And yet again the little old lady gave me a deck of magic cards for her. But that is not the reason y I go there. Everyone is always friendly when I'm there.
