Kirk's U Need A Butcher — Local services in Lafayette

I used to be a fan of kirk's u need a butcher until July ,19,2025 @ 16:29pm. I went to this establishment and purchased 3.20lb of cowboy stew mix. It was a heavy set lady with dark hair fixed the mix for me and I asked her what is that smell because I could smell a strong odor. She never answered me just looking confused. I did take the cowboy stew and attempt to cook it on Sunday but I was unable to cook the cowboy stew mix because it was spoiled. I did freeze the cowboy stew and I immediately called the store on Monday to let them know. However I did speak with a really nice guy i will call him Mr. M. He said that he would have to speak with the owner and the owner said that i couldn't get a refund nor my money back because their store is closed on Sundays. The sad part about this is that we have a catering company and we have dealt with Kirk's for many years and this is very unfortunate this has happened. So I guess what the owner is saying cook your food the same day you purchased it or go to the store early on Saturday because they don't open on Sundays and Monday will be to late. I don't usually leave reviews but $28.81 plus tax is may not be alot to some people but it it is. All im saying is how can you support your local family owned business and their doing...

My sister has been with the same MAN for years, and the fact that the word is freely used by WHITE people disgusts me. So I walked into Kirk's U Needa Butcher today and tell a man behind a counter I'm there for the first time. He says okay give me a minute and he walks away. He comes back and hands me a tray of food for me and my coworker to sample at no charge. 🤯 My first time enjoying boudin, chicken cracklins, and pork cracklins dipped into pepper jelly! SOOOOO good!
