Honestly, I think this the best design Rouses location I've seen so far in South Louisiana. Very updated and has a architectural industry modern look. I have a Rouses 8 min down the road by my house. But drove 18 min to check this one out. I like the setup it clean and it different . Thumbs up for not putting self checkout . Help keep people employed. Price is about they same as all the other location. Parking lot is big. My only issues and I noticed that it the same at all the other Rouses I've been too. It Is the customer service it not that great. At this location. When I walked in I was greeted. And I do get a hello here and there. But the majority don't say anything. When completed shopping and was going for checkout. I noticed some lane were open but I also notice some of the clerk was just standing around in front so I didn't know if they were working or not. But 3 lane had light on. But nobody was standing in the area and no person was going to them . And the clerks was just stand in front of them talking to each other. They didn't say anything to me when I had walked pass them. I went to an open lane that already had a person getting checked out. And even that clerk didn't say hello to me. Honestly i felt awkward. But other than that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've shopped here often spending 100's of dollars and it was always the same. The feeling of being watched while shopping so I stopped spending my money there. Moreover, I purchased some cold chicken tenders which could be paid with my EBT card. When I went to church out the chicken didn't ring up as an item that could be paid with EBT so the cashier called the store manager. The store manager needs training because he didn't understand what the cashier was explaining to him. There was a drunk white man standing in line after me, holding on to my basket so that he wouldn't fall down. The cashier, who was a white lady continued to apologize to him for the wait but said nothing to ME, like it was my fault that the deli didn't do their jobā¼ļøThe store manager left and the cashier had to call him again This time he thought that I wasnt paying for all my groceries and he grabbed the bags. The cashier had to explain to him that she needed him to key in a code. š I don't understand why he has that job because he don't even understand transactionsā¼ļøHe never apologized to me either but he did say thank you for coming, I guess that was EASIER to say than to APOLOGIZE TO A BLACK WOMANā¼ļøYet we are in 2025ā¼ļøALL MONEY IS GREEN and ALL...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just had to take a moment to shout out an absolute gem of a worker I encountered the other day at your Camellia Rouses Bakery. Her name was Stephanie and the moment I walked up I could tell I was in the hands of someone that truly cared about what she was doing. We were in a real pinch, i had an event in Lafayette and the person originally assigned to handle the cake for it fell through. She informed me the decorator had already left for the day but said without hesitation said that she decorates as well and would work some magic for me and boy did she deliver. She was kind, thorough, and clearly knew her stuff. She suggested size and flavors and some simple designs as well as recommending me to try their new blondie brownie (Delicious by the way - she wasn't wrong!) I wasn't trying to hover so i browsed around this massive store and after about 15-20 minutes she had me on my way with a beautiful cake. I was beyond impressed and would suggest everyone to not walk but run to Rouses on Camellia because their is an ANGEL working in...
