Luis and his Team at Alpine Heating and Cooling installed a SpacePak that connects to my Boiler in the early spring of 2020. A number of things went wrong. First the wrong model arrived and they had to re-order, a week or two later then when the correct product arrived they installed it and a couple days after, it started leaking. Luis said this was due to a clogged pipe that the condenser drains in to. Luis purged the drain and we had no problems thereafter. Fast forward 5 months when I turn my boiler on and this water starts coming from the air valve big time.(see video) I had to call in a professional as Luis did not return my calls or texts. I asked the guy to take a look at the installation and he informed me of the following problems with the installation. The connection of the electricity to the thermostat was incorrect, the air vent wasn't fastened properly, The air ducts on the return was not fastened properly or using the correct materials, there was too much slack between the spacpak and the air vents and the materials used to to connect to the air vents were causing significant heat and cooling loss, the Stop gap drainage was installed improperly and they tray that the unit was sitting on was positioned incorrectly. So Basically I'm looking at a complete reinstallation. Luis and his team offered excellent prices so at the time I thought I was getting a deal. I regret that decision now. If what you are getting fixed is important to you, I'd recommend a different vendor, or you may end up...
Read moreUnfortunately, we had a bad experience with Alpine. The heating does work fine, but the technician Luis made so many holes in the house, we then had a rodent problem afterwards. He forgot to close the holes well because he forgot, that was problem one. The 2nd problem was he also put a heater in the attic which when it turned on caused a leak to drip into the new walls we had just constructed. The reason for the leak was because he did incorrect tubing for the upstairs heater. He had to come back multiple times to fix the issue which it was finally fixed by him but by ripping the brand new trimming in the apartment, which he did not fix or offer to pay for the damaged ripped up trimming. When you pay 10 thousand dollars you should not have more problems then you originally had but I guess you get what you pay for. I, personally, cannot trust a company that does not have certified heating and air technicians, just guys who learned from watching and did not actually go to school for it, doing the work because you have problems like these and yes they may be a bit cheaper, but we ended up spending more on a rodent problem, repairing the trimming, and hopefully the water which was leaking into the walls does not cause any further damage but...
Read moreThis is my GO TO company. I own rental properties and multiple times a year I run into issues with HVAC in my units. I have way too much experience with other companies that aren't Alpine Heating & Cooling. i ran into all kinds of ineffective HVAC technicians who would charge you an arm and a leg and not fix an issue, or would tell you that they will come to an appointment and never show or show up super late. THANK GOD i found Alpine Heating & Cooling. I have used their technicians repeatedly and they have ALWAYS come out on our agreed upon time, they have ALWAYS resolved the issue i presented to them (I''ve had some pretty complicated HVAC issues at my rentals) and they have ALWAYS been transparent and reasonable in their pricing. Once you find a reputable and effective HVAC company and technician, you almost want to keep them a secret because it is really difficult to get quality service elsewhere. Whatever issue you're having, trust me Alpine Heating & Cooling is the way to go. You wont be...
