I've been to 3 of the ladies night out events including tonight and have always enjoyed it with the exception of tonight. I've never had a bad meal at Hartville Kitchen until tonight. The food was not up to their standards and the whole table felt the same way. The other issue with the event is the give aways. It was announced for us to fill out the name/address paper and someone would pick them up and would be put into a bin and names drawn out. There is absolutely no way that the names were put into a bin. Almost all of the names announced for the give aways was from one side of the room. For at least the first ten names drawn, all was on one side of the room and in the same vicinty of each other. Our side only had about 5 names drawn and they also was in the same vicinty. It appears to many of us that the slips were collected from someone, handed in and not put in a bin and mixed up. There is no way those names were mixed up. And I assure you that I was not the only one feeling this way. Ask your emcees how we reacted when someone finally got called on our side of the room. You really need to come up with a fairer way to handle the names turned in because there was several irate women with the way things appeared. I'm not sure...
Read moreI've been going to Hartville (originally the old store on the corner to get the bakery and once a week the Amish flea market would open)....that was a long long time ago...like 1950-60s.. I don't live in Ohio anymore, but when I do come in I always go to Hartville and Amish Country in mid-Ohio....I do miss a lot of things about the "old way" Hartville was in business, but I do love the Collectible Store and the Hardware store is wonderful too. They have a wonderful jewelry section which has hard to find collectable items. I also love the lighted Christmas gifts, I bought the most beautiful Cardinal that revolves and has snow coming down inside a globe, It is beautiful! It was only around $20.00, their gifts are very affordable and much more unique than what you find at places...
