Anchored by Publix, Grove Park is one of your better strip shopping plazas.
Nearly every store in the line up is a mainstream, popular shop or eatery: CVS, Dollar Tree, Domino's, Subway. The shopping center has a separate liquor store under the Publix name and is flanked by fast food giants: McDonalds and Wendy's and a gas station. It could be a one stop (just about) outing where you could get all your needs met.
As popular as this plaza is, you'd think there would be a problem with traffic and/or parking. But, it's never been an issue for me and I go there many times per week. Apparently, traffic flow used to be a problem. According to my local friends, the parking lot was reconfigured not too long ago solving that issue but confusing those who were used to the old layout.
Located right off Bartow Rd./98, it's easy to get in and out of. It's a clean, modern plaza that's well lit and seemingly safe.
If you need something... go. You'll probably be able to find it in or right around Grove Park...

Read moreLocated off a busy road with consistent/high traffic volume. Can be difficult to exit the parking lot due to traffic. All lower parking lot exits are right turn only. So if going toward down town Lakeland you would need to make a right out of the parking lot, fighting traffic to then get into the far left lane, and make a u-turn at the traffic light in order to go the right direction to that destination. A much easier and safer way to exit is to go out the top left side of the parking lot next to CVS, make a left onto the road (in front of McDonald's) stay in left turn lane at the traffic light and then make a left at the signal. At that same traffic light you may also choose to make a right turn or continue straight thru the...
